When exactly will you get your degree then?
From what I know most public U students already started working in Sg even before the convo.
*
my convo will be in dec

QUOTE(seantang @ Oct 29 2012, 08:16 PM)
Just change your qualification in the application form from degree to provisional degree. Apply for the permit based on that.
*
will try to ask my company about this, thanks.

He mentioned that his EP got rejected, therefore he wouldn't have received his In Principal Approval.

Got rejected because he failed to provide his degree cert? I haven't receive my degree cert also, i just give them my printed transcript and a letter which state that i'm going to graduate. And yet i can get the IPA.

Hi guys,

Few weeks ago I've mentioned about my EP application has been rejected. The reason is because I have yet to receive a degree as I am fresh graduate and waiting for convo. As normal procedure, my school has issued me a letter of completion study and I've submit it to the company for my EP application, along with the transcripts.

However, MOM has rejected the letter of completion because it doesn't shows I've been awarded for a degree, instead it wrote "will be awarded a degree". Both MOM and my college refused to give in and insist on the issue. Anyone has faced the similar issue and what can/should I do?   sad.gif icon_question.gif
*
did the MOM specifically mentioned that coz normally they do not give reason for WP rejection

probably he's rejected due to other reason(s) unless MOM specifically mentioned it's due to the degree cert

Different person different case, you get your IPA mean it is approved and you never know the reason why MOM rejected your application.

I think previously this question had pop up in the thread but the answer is MOM do not provide reason of rejection, they just reject the application and you have to re-apply again.

Hi guys,

I just get a job offer as Marketing Exec. Currently I'm still working with my current company and holding work permit but my salary is above $2k. They help me to apply EP instead of S Pass but the salary that they offer me is fall under EP category. How long is the waiting period and what is the chances for EP approval? If the EP been rejected can the company apply for S Pass? Kindly advice.

what kind of experience do u have? in construction field, u have to fight for places with engineers from India, Myanmar, Phillippines etc. but after said that, there are a lot of vacancies available. again what kind of work are you doing right now? if u are in consulting line, better stick back to consulting firms. very tough to get into contractors or developers.

The company told me it's rejected due to the "missing line" in my letter of completion study, and this is the reason given by MOM. This is all i know.

I actually wanted to find and join a property developer in Singapore but I won't mind to start off my Singapore career with a consulting firm too.
But the problem is I don't know which are the top 10 consulting firms and developers.

Get a job here first. The construction industry is quite small. Once u have enough network, easy to jump. For contractor, u can go to bcadirectory.sg and look for A1 category contractors. they r the biggest in Singapore. I'm not quite sure about developers or consultants though, can't help on that.

1 year exp in sg or total working working exp?
i have 1.5 yr working exp in sg, degree holder and i just get my pr... all in all it took one month from submission to receive approval letter..
quite efficient i must say as during submission the woman over the counter told me it will take 3-4 mths to know the outcome..
