Hi all, a question about staying in Singapore.

My landlord ask me for my EP for registering the HDB blablabla, but I yet to get the EP (got rejected because I'm unable to provide my degree cert because fresh graduate).

Is it true that we need to register our FIN to the HDB website?

Hi bro, I know I will kena charge when receive call when I roaming but when I was in Singapore and receive call from international do I kena charge too? This is what I hear from my friend. Thanks.
*
when you in Singapore using Singapore telcos, you are obviously not roaming when answering any calls. wheather you have to pay local charges or not is depending on which plan you sign up for.

Yup, if not mistaken should as a proof that you are staying at the particular unit and HDB need to control the number of tenant in a house.

hmm. You don't have an EP yet you stay in Singapore? My landlord asked me for a photocopy of EP as soon as I got one.

Because I'm staying with my friend, so we rent the room in advance. Quite hard to find accommodation especially after work. sad.gif

You get the job then you decide where to stay. No? I think it's harder to find a job then a room, especially if your accommodation may limit the location of your workplace. E.g. you don't want to work in Ang Mo Kio if you stay in Bukit Panjang.

*
You can register for autogate pass, just go to the office during work hours. Registration usually is done 10-15 minutes. You can use your passport for clearance 24 hours after registration. I'm with Work Permit pass, using it daily for commute from JB to SG.

You won't be taxed if your annual salary + bonus + all kinds of crap is below SGD$20,000. Anything above that, tax and of course pay in dollars!
No tax from Malaysia side, you don't work in Malaysia. No need tax.

(got rejected because I'm unable to provide my degree cert because fresh graduate).

Why unable to provide degree cert? just graduate and waiting for convocation? just provide all semester transcript and completion of study letter is not enough?

Got rejected because lacking of some "words" on the completion letter according to the company. shakehead.gif
And I didn't get my latest transcript at that moment.

You can use other people name as proof of billing, must use proof of billing with your own name, unless you ask your aunt to sign for you.

You should have letter from bank, i think if the letter date is less than 3 month, it can be use.

all telco is the same, see which telco have less people waiting = easier to sign up? hmm.gif

For postpaid, receiving calls are FREE (well, you actually already paid for it).
For prepaid, receiving calls are not free...to make it "free", you pay a premium of less than 1 dollar per day.
By receiving calls, I am not differentiating local or international.
