I use gothere apps while in SG. Good for taking public transport and driving. I can check the parking rate as well.

hmmm... too bad. I've still got my Android hat on. I will not pay for apps. Whatsapp is the only paid app I cannot do without. Adding insult to injury, it's free on every other platform.

Not free

For iPhone there is only a one-time charge, when you first download the app. Thankfully, Apple lets you re-download WhatsApp for free, as many times as you need. Please remember to use the same AppleID each time.

For all other phone types (Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, and Nokia), WhatsApp is free to download and try for the first year. After which, you have the option of subscribing to an additional year of service for $0.99 USD.

Ya, Apple has the upfront $0.99.

But for the other platforms, I haven't been charged the annual fee yet. I've had it on Android for 3 years now. Every anniversary, the expiry date clicks over another year. Same for BB so far.

When I use maps, I want to find what I'm looking for and get where I'm going as quickly as possible. Not look at pretty pictures.

Google maps is still the best for actually using a map.

For driving, dedicated GPS devices are still the best. They have the fastest hardware to gain GPS lock and recalculate changes.
*
Of coz everyone use the map to find place they want to go, just seeing everyone keep complaining the map, hence just want to share what i saw the best in the map, rather complaining it, why not give apple the feedback, maybe they will do something about it.

The maps (Apple's) is abit confusing but I still get to my destination.
Anyway, it's easier to nitpick biggrin.gif And if everything is so perfect, there won't be room for improvement..

most of the above hotel are "far" from SATA Chai Chee. Have you look at Bedok Area? Can consider Gaylang area too.

Use gothere.sg to check out the journey from your hotel to SATA.

That's my beef with apple actually. Their products are far from perfect but they try to restrict competition from alternatives. If I need to buy from a monopoly, I damn well better get a perfect product.

Because we are customers, not beta testers. Because we use phones for a living, not Apple fanboys.

I understand where you're coming from, I also acknowledged that their products are far from perfect, it's really up to an individual how much they are willing to splurge on something. A great example would be designer goods biggrin.gif
I am using the iPhone, first generation iPad and a Nano- don't consider myself a fanboy but I really enjoy the "experience". Must admit I am not smart enough to use an adroid laugh.gif, way too complex.

It does look like they are trying to restrict competition from alternatives but it also could be marketing gimmicks, free advertisement from all the court cases drool.gif
