Went to Lowyat..
Most of the shop no more stock of Studio 6..
But did manage to hear about the sound..

You may want to take it up a notch and go for Edifier Studio 7 (a.k.a Edifier R2700), if there is stock. It does cost about RM100+ more...

Hi sifu
need your advice to finalize my decision
I am currently deciding between R1600Tiii and HCS2330
i am looking for versatility as i usually do 50-50 gaming and music.
My fave music genre are mostly ballad, sentimental, jazz, blue, bossa nova and R&B. I not keen on bassy/dance music so loud bass is not necessary to me. prefer "cleaner bass" than loud and muddy one.
For gaming purpose, which one able to tell me more accurate enemy position?
Go for Edifier R1600T III. Quote from

Vocals are clear and crisp, mid tones are good and the bass is punchy; the R1600TIII even manages to surprise me with new elements that I've never noticed from my song collection. The 4-inch bass drivers delivers explosions and low rumbles in movies adequately and gaming with the speakers replicates the experience (of course with the volume up some notch), sound positioning is just as good too, so no troubles hearing the direction of enemies in an FPS game before you see them.

Currently using M2300 which has terrible satellite. Failed me everytime when i try to hear enemy footstep during online FPS game.
Thank in advance
Those satellites lack tweeters, thus often fine sounds are missed. A little higher up Edifier M3300SF model has tweeters. Quote from

The first thing that strikes you is how full the aural experience is. The inclusion of dedicated tweeters on the satellites mean that the main speakers on them can be tuned more towards the midrange and this really enhances the sound scape. Highs are crisp and voices clearly audible whether you are listening to the quite exposition of a blockbuster, or your team-mates screaming orders in the middle of a firefight.
