Need some advice here icon_question.gif I am planning to buy a new speakers, budget around RM300 - RM400, room size around 10 x 16 feet (want to get speakers that fill the entire room with sound cool.gif )

So, I am aiming at these speakers:
Edifier R1600TIII (The newest & smallest of all, I find the sound of this speakers is very sharp when both bass & treble are set to middle)
Edifier R1900TIII (No complains, just that the volume & bass knobs are at the back doh.gif )
Edifier HSC2330 (No comments)
Edifier S330 (Some people say that this speakers has ear piercing treble too)

I like the strong bass of 2.1 speakers, and also the balanced & musical sound of 2.0 speakers, not sure which one to get unsure.gif

Buy r1900. Dont worry about subwoofer.
u can enchance the bass by place it close to a wall. Make the reflex port work.

will win s330 and hsc 2330

How about Edifier R2500? Volume control is on the right hand side, doesn't sound sharp and piercing.

Hi All , need some recommendation to get a multimedia speaker , as in connecting with pc audio card

Requirement :
1.Standard 2.1 for all purpose usage
Usage : Music 80%, movie/anime : 20% , no gaming
2. Lean towards balanced sounds, not too sharp, not too bassy
3. To be placed on desktop , nearfield

Budget :Rm500 and below

Edifier M3300 serves me good , it has balanced sounds,so I wish to find similar or better sound signature , for the music genres I listen , is usually vocal, so I prefer better mids with not too punchy bass, as long as it is sufficient but not too lack of it , for watching movie purpose.

If primarily for music, balanced sound, not too sharp and not too bassy then you can try looking at Edifier Studio monitors such as Edifier Studio 6 (a.k.a Edifier R2600) which is within your budget. Up a notch above RM500 to RM600, you may want to consider Edifier Studio 7 (a.k.a Edifier R2700) which has strong midrange. Do note however these are HiFi quality 2.0 stereo speakers... icon_rolleyes.gif

As mentioned earlier, have to dig them up (packed them up in a box somewhere). I would strongly suggest bringing your audio device to test the USB cable first, as do you not want to end up with another useless USB cable again. May also check the reason for being "picky" about USB cables... hmm.gif

Differences are too many including pricing, brand, appearance (such as color, texture, shape, etc), size (dimensions), weight, features (such as remote control), volume and tone control location, etc. Technically the main differences are... wink.gif

Edifier R1600T III
- Class D (digital) bi-amplifiers
- single power supply
- 4-inch woofers
- 30WRMS per speaker, total of 60WRMS
- Unbalanced RCA inputs only (standard connection)

KRK Rokit 5 G3
- Class AB (analogue) bi-amplifiers
- split power supply (each speaker has its own power supply)
- 5-inch woofers
- 50WRMS per speaker, total of 100WRMS
- Unbalanced RCA inputs as well as balanced TRS and XLR inputs (professional grade connection)

Obviously with bigger woofer on the KRK Rokit 5, can expect better low frequency response. That Edifier R1600T III on the other hand is considered as a very affordable high quality studio monitor. Of course, immediately those differences are reflected in the pricing as well (as that KRK Rokit 5 costs about 3 to 4 times more than Edifier R1600T III).  icon_idea.gif

Anyway, here is a review: Gecid.com Ukrainian IT-portal: Logitech Multimedia Speakers Z240 review that clearly highlights/demonstrates the problem of using single full range drivers. Can see from the frequency response graph the main weaknesses of using a single full range driver as I've already mentioned earlier...  icon_rolleyes.gif

great news! i have replace my cable. i use it from old camera cable. the cable charge and transfer picture to pc.

alright. thanks for the comparison! if i have extra money. i'll bought my krk rokit 5. if not, i'll go for edifier R1600T III.
the low frequency responses on krk rokit 5 and Edifier R1600T III is not really a lot of differences right? since the Edifier R1600T III 4-inch woofer and KRK Rokit 5 have 5-inch woofer? hmm.gif

The bigger the woofer then the stronger the low frequency response (and also can reach much lower frequencies). Most of the time low frequencies in music rarely goes below 50Hz to 60Hz, although there are a number of exceptions. That's why most of these studio monitors have around 50Hz at the lower frequency range (in their specifications). However some studio monitors can go below 50Hz easily (although not part of their specifications) but those are usually the big ones like Edifier Studio 7 (a.k.a Edifier R2700) or Edifier Studio 8 (a.k.a Edifier R2800)... wink.gif

Try looking at Edifier DA5000 Pro for movies and music as well. Alternatively you may want to consider Edifier Studio 8 (a.k.a Edifier R2800)... wink.gif

For under RM300, try looking at Edifier M3300SF or Edifier M3300. Also can consider Edifier R1600T III if looking for more balanced sounds... icon_rolleyes.gif
