I did audit both speaker in lowyat before and I notice c3 produce "bigger" and "brighter" sound for me.

I think you should try audit yourself becoz different people have different preference.

Yes, with an entry-level budget. I know the vinyl phenomenon can cost a bomb.

My setup is PC hifi but honestly, I think CD or vinyl is the right path of hifi if:
- Doesn't use playlist a lot
- You only listened to one artist at a time
- You only listen to one album at a time
- You're not moving anytime

As for me, I use playlist a lot, and I dislike the idea of change my CD when I want to listen to next singer, and the most important, I hate the idea of moving out in few years, along with fragile CD player or turntable.

And, do contact Sentinel92 for more deal, he will offer you something good, but prepare your wallet. And, all I can say best price I can find. wink.gif

Thanks for the feedback mate. But it's too late for me to go off the vinyl path, because I'm actually a vinyl addict by nature. Been collecting hundreds of records, and everywhere I go off travel, I will definitely check out the local vinyl scene. I have my own set up at home, but I'm actually staying in my university now, so I kinda need a second set up.

Edit:

Oh and, I'm a digital music junkie as well. I have loaded a TB of music on my MBP to bring it with me where ever, whenever I go.

Well, I do plan to go vinyl after I moved out from my current shitty workplace. Transporting my PC etc is very risky. Thus I avoid vinyl and CD for now. Maybe next year I will change to the path of black record. icon_idea.gif

You're most welcome to join the dark side, bro. But please, beware, it comes with a price. It's pretty much an expensive hobby tongue.gif cool.gif

The first step by posting in audiophile thread is our first step to the dark side. Haha... Yeah, but I can't describe the feeling of holding Eric Clapton, Crossroad vinyl in my hand. It's large, thick and heavy. Plus, hifi setup looks better with turntable.

But don't get me wrong, PC oriented brand is good in its class like as good as plug and play. The so called audiophile grade to me is quite handful to setup. Talked about finding a good rca cable and maybe not so average sound card to make it sing. The least we're talking about is Asus xonar DG.

I myself a budget gamer as what you can see in my cpuZ badge so I would like the best my little money can offer.

But the rca cable on the Swan M10 cannot be removed unless you mod it?

I might get a better sound card sooner or later as I'm only using the only with Asrock Z77 Extreme4

Wonder can my Fiio E6 improve anything with the speakers?

I think e6 is a headphone amp and if it's so I wouldn't recommended you hooking it to speakers. It might get fried at its best. M10 I don't have but internet says it's an active speaker so less need for speaker amp unless you want an experiment in double amping (again not recommended).

I think you've seen m10 in person since you know the satellites got wire ends fixed to them. The would be problem is if you bought Asus xonar dx, youll be getting all 3.5mm jacks at the back with my best bet is to plug a 3.5mm to split rca from the labeled 'centre sub' jack on the card. Xonar st got two nice gold plated rca jack though but that card is aimed for headphone.

Dear Sifu,
Plan to setup new entertainment system at my new house, but overall setup is budgeted within RM3k only, have 2 model (Toshiba-50L2300 or Sharp-LC-50LE450M) LED tv and 1 model Plasma (Samsung-PS51F5500ARXXM) in my mind. The price is around (2.1k ~ 2.5k), less $$$ is for audio setup.

My preference is for very clean. 1 Amplifier and 2 speakers or 5 speaker system. Or home theater system package with amplifier within RM1 ~ RM1.2K.

Have research, saw Yahama RX-V475 (AV Receiver) RM1,499 online price without speakers but don't know what tpye speaker to choose, if speaker together already more than RM2k.
Is that any suggestions from sifu advice....

Hey guys,

currently i'm looking for a stereo speaker. (or something that prioritize in listening, mainly for podcast and all for listening purposes).

budget is somewhere around 200, won't be using much for music and gaming anyway. Can someone recommend something to fit in this? Subwoofer isn't really required also if it helps.

Thanks!

Modifying that cable voids warranty also... tongue.gif

That's a headphone amplifier, and the output is not suitable for Line level inputs... wink.gif

Hi guys,

I want to buy a speaker with budget RM300
Usage: Music > Gaming + Movie

Only wants for 2.1

I was using Altec Lansing ATP3, bought it many years ago, working good, sound good but my bro took it away.
I tried to use HCS2330, it is not suitable for me, compare with ATP3, ATP3 is so so so so much better, the bass, the treble, man
Is it all Edifier brand sound the same? The bass and the treble lose 9 streets to ATP3
My room size is 14 feet x 15 feet = 210 square feet ( I think it counts as a small master room)
I am putting my computer facing on a wall
Any recommendation? Any shop to recommend? Feeling going to lowyat plaza tomorrow
Also do you guys know where can I still buy for Altec Lansing ATP3? Is it new or 2nd hand price(Budget RM100 which listed at the top)
*
If you like trebles, then you may want look at Edifier M3300 or Edifier M3300SF (which also has a different type of bass, more of a "thumper")... hmm.gif

Try looking around for Edifier R1280T, which should be around RM200 to RM240 range. And a tiny bit more at around RM260 to RM280, you may want to consider Edifier R1600T.... icon_rolleyes.gif
