Actually, ya using a better DAC will make ur speaker sound better. But the improvement of DAC is less if compared to speaker if the same amount of money is spend ^^ But its up to personal opinion and taste XD
Anyway, its not jz DAC tat will improve ur sound. U also need to setup ur music player to kernel streaming, position ur speaker accordingly and most important speaker isolation

U can go to my blog and listen to the track b4 and after i setup speaker isolation for my edifier C3
http://casualnfunentertainment.blogspot.co...-isolation.htmlYup... I been test few position and I think my current position is the best position. Well, I'd been thinking about the DAC vs speaker things too and that's the reason I try to avoid less than RM 500 DAC for my speaker. But the more I google, the more I poisoned. Haha... Will try the sound isolation later. Thank you very much for the link.
Or unless if there's a speaker that sound nice even with a cheap sound card, I don't mind spending RM1k for it. So, is there any book shelf speaker that have good bass performance? And that speaker will be used for gaming too. I don't really mind 2.1 speaker too.

http://casualnfunentertainment.blogspot.co...-isolation.htmlHey, the isolation really work. Really improve the sound. Hehe... But how come no photo of the speaker. Mind to share some photo here so I can get the idea.
Regarding Kernel Steaming:
CODE
Operating Systems
This component was originally written for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It is not guaranteed to cooperate with newer versions of Windows.
Kernel Streaming is known to work on certain Windows Vista and Windows 7 configurations, but not with devices having WaveRT drivers such as High Definition Audio Devices integrated with newer motherboards - such devices simply won't be shown on foobar2000's output device list as available KS devices.
If you run Windows Vista, you should be using WASAPI instead in most cases.
So, is this the reason I didn't see Kernel Streaming in the output selection? Just Wasapi and ASIO. Wasapi make the player late respond a little. Is that normal? So far I enjoy using ASIO. What is DS BTW? Direct Sound?
