You may want to look at the HiVi range such as the Swans M200 range. And alternatively you may want to consider an integrated amplifier with bookshelf speakers (pretty much mix and match)... hmm.gif

Looks like Logitech S-100. Methinks its time to replace these tiny speakers. Any 2.1 speaker system would sound a lot better than your current speakers...  tongue.gif

There's a high possibility of internal broken wire inside the plug and/or at the neck of the plug (where the cable joins the plug). Just cut it off and solder a new 3.5mm stereo plug. wink.gif

Notice that front grill? Remove that first and you should find some screws holding down the driver and access to the internal hardware inside the casing... icon_rolleyes.gif

i hav krk rokit 6 g2, really rocks but i dun hav good sound card and not suit to pair with pc daily use. so ended up i put it to use with my family tv, haha , sound nice especially watching concert/singing.

about the s100, i try to open the grill b4 edi, dun hav any screw. and i wish to replace the wire probably from the board inside, dislike to replace it outside.

just bought c3, just finished setting up only, sound not bad, but the bass is not solid enough, not rock enough, but still considered acceptable edi. 1 bad thing about the c3 is the treble/sub.w setting, need to reset it every time power up again.

I bought it at navotech/stygix for rm394, kinda happy for the price becoz many seller selling either 399 or 409, and the seller say it is best price non nego anymore =3=

really need to praise navotech for their price smile.gif

Usually for the grill, you have to pull it out from the sides one at time. Can be very difficult especially when there is some stick tape and/or glue holding down the grill. As for the cable, as mentioned earlier, just change that stereo plug and see... hmm.gif

Yes, its a little loose in exchange for expansive bass. The cheaper Edifier M3300 has much tighter/solid bass and more "slam" to it (less booming and more thump) ... icon_rolleyes.gif

Techno music? You may want to look at Altec Lansing range of speakers, such as Altec Lansing VS4621, for boomboxes. Otherwise you could also check out both Edifier M3400 or Edifier M3300SF...  hmm.gif

Just bought Edifier M3300SF speakers as recommended by bro lex. Quite nice the sound cool.gif

Oh ya, forgot to mention. I also like Rock songs and occasional pop songs. The Edifier Studio 7/8 or Swan M200s still suitable?

Not every speaker system is perfect, have pros and cons. There will always be something the owner always be critical of, like the type of bass (whether it can be thunderous, thumping or booming when required). Nowadays nearly every electronic gadget (including mobile phones from top brands like Apple) are made in China. If want to make it last longer then modify it after warranty has expired (especially replacing those capacitors and/or removing any degraded glue). wink.gif

Can sound even better when modified, but you will have to wait until warranty expires. cool.gif

If have lots of vocals then usually a 3-way system would be more recommended (for the midrange). As for the selection, all of them (Edifier Studio 7, Edifier Studio 8 and HiVi Swan M200 series) are much more recommended. Audition them and see which one suits your preferences... icon_rolleyes.gif

For under RM200, try searching for Edifier M3400. And you may want to consider RM200 to RM300 range and try looking at either Edifier M3300SF or Edifier M3300 as both of these have very good clarity. And do try to audition/testing them at the shop and/or showroom before deciding... icon_rolleyes.gif

Nowadays for clarity, recommendation preferences shifted towards Edifier rather than Altec Lansing at these price ranges. Example review of Edifier M3300SF and conclusions here: Overclock3D :: Review :: Edifier M3300SF 2.1 Speaker Set Review :: Testing and Conclusion. And at the same price range, example review of Altec Lansing VS2721 and conclusions here: bit-tech.net: Altec Lansing VS2721 Review... hmm.gif

But I need some bass also, somewhere around Sonic Gear Evo 7 Pro (used it before). So the M3400/M3300SF is still the best?

IMHO the vote goes to Edifier S530D. Also you may want to consider Edifier Studio 8 (a.k.a Edifier R2800) although its only a 2.0 active speaker system. As for Corsair SP2500, its also good but there are issues with this one... hmm.gif

Aye, just check them out first before deciding. Anyway as for Sonic Gear Evo series, here is an interesting thread: Special Interest -> Home Entertainment -> Audiophiles -> Speaker Discovery Channel, Speaker brand giving fake spec... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, looking for a speaker within the range of Rm300-Rm400. Usage mainly for movies, music and games. Mostly games and movies. Prefer those that you can set the bass and have a good clarity.

Thanks.

- Your rig: desktop, smartphone
- What type of usage: movies, games(less priority) musics
- File format used in your source: mp3 i guess...
- Genre of music you listen to: original sound track, jpop, emo rock (simple plan)
- Budget: probably RM400~700+
- Room size: quite small
- Currently dose not own a speaker, using Senheiser HD205

Very heavy pc user, sits infront of the pc most of the time

Have my eyes lays on SS siberia elite, but saw alot complaints on breakdown units and mic quality... currently debating on going for a headphone or speaker (am a collage student so renting room outside, dun wan to disturb housemate, so if i own a speaker i usually could turn them on during day time.)

Hi, personally prefer JBL brand and eyeing JBL speaker for a period of time, just curious if anyone own a JBL Creature 3 or JBL Spyro, can please share ur experience, how is their performance for these price range? Havent audit the speaker yet, what i see from google is the driver satellite of the spyro is much more smaller than the creature, but the price is higher, just doubt about the quality how it can perform with the tiny size driver T T.

Guys, i'm planning to get a 2.1 speaker setup. Mainly use for gaming. Planning to get z623, s330d or c3. Huhu.. Or perhaps c5 is worth the extra bucks?
My room size is estimated 4mx4m

Thanks in advance.
