I think even if one cannot subscribe to the rights, it is not end of the world, just sell off the rights entitlements and use the proceeds to buy more of the reits to prevent dilution.

You get better price when buying Rights compared to buying the REIT units in the open mkt.

'Mine is CASH UP FRONT account with min brokerage SGD12. Do not have the Good till DAte.'

Yes, you are right ! There is only one option when buying with Cash Upfront. The buy order is good for the day only, and need to key-in again the next morning.

Just a question : isn't the cash upfront amount $18, instead of $12 ? Tq.

us poor jobs report... so, market not pricing in fed rate hike until march 2016.

usd weakens, bond prices strengthen. so do reits.

nice to see all sg reit prices up 1-2% today.

but mindful sgd may soften further alto i see limited downside.

it was SGD 18 when i open the account in 2013. Then i think sometime begining this year when SGX change to min purchase in 100 units instead 1000 units, the brokerage was reduce to SGD 12 only.

However, to sell is SGD 25 minimum.

Can you please double confirm tongue.gif that they will automatically sell the right and pay you the money? In Bursa, if you fail to sell, you lose the money.

the thing about Singaporeans.. being World Class.. all u hv to do is just drop them an email and u will get replied in less than 24 hrs....

asksgx@sgx.com

In the past year, i auto $$ collect from Rights issue for : Aims; Ireit (did not even know they hv a right exercise till i get the letter)
and few others.
Initially did the whole process of
1. singapore address.
2. buy from ATM blah blah...

and not practical for me to sell of my rights.. as will be charge brokerage.

Also, i dun want to trouble my Singaporean friend, so opted for NO SINGAPORE ADDRESS.

I even went to the extend of asking procedures on ESTATE PLANNING. Must plan ma.. incase mati.. how to collect back shares and $$$ from Sg.

I hv not idea if this is the most worth it method. However its less HASSLE.
If i want top up units, i just buy from market when price is right...

If you want the broker to handle the rights for you and also if want to convert warrants etc.. use a nominee account. wink.gif

higher chargers.. including service charge for dividend, warrant conversion, payment for rights etc.. but less hassle.

bank into the same bank ac that they bank in yr dividend.
My broker is DBS VICKERS and my bank ac is DBS .

Price should be the closing Rights price - plus minus.

Maybe u email sgx and ask them. the exact details.

i got all this info in the year 2013.. but i forgot whether its the opening or the closing rights price.
coz not much difference as my holdings is not that high.

If U are nominee ac.. then less hassle. Pay service charge only....

true!

i am using nominee account.

on one occasion, i actually bought additional rights in open market, instruct nominee to exercise and convert together with the entitlement.

convenient, just pay a fixed fee.

those rights are only available for a short period.

Hope for the next down. With Fed now uncertain to raise rate, I think it still can increase for quite some time

Hi,... it is not necessary that we look at these two only. There are other REITs to look at and that have not appreciated in price yet.
