Thats the reason we have to average in. we wont catch the bottom.
So instead of being emotional, better set the yardstick on the numbers

OKay,.. right, if you can't recognise the bounces, in other words, yes, you can't catch the bottom. Fair enough. So..., we all should not be disappointed then with our performance, and feel that we have lost an opportunity for another 5% dip, or even that we have lost an opportunity to load-up the truck.

LIke I said earlier,... there will always be another chance. The coming opportunity will even be better,... it is a never-ending cycle. IT is just a matter of when.

Yeah........i agree with that. i have no regrets about buying. Just flustered that it didn't go down further as i hoped for.

i do not think it's all stable yet. far from it, imo.

if china, us and oil markets retest recent lows, big chance will come again to buy.

so, good to standby some capacity.

which is why the guru in a good book i read had these 3 messages at the front page:

1. you never get to buy at the bottom or sell at the top.

2. you cannot take what the market will not give you.

3. make what you can and be happy with it, never mind what happens after.



i know some other gurus have smarter things to say but i like these 3 things, keep close to my heart all the time.

Yalor, whole of last week until last Friday whole world down, looks like doom and gloom. So buy bit by bit and look see look see. If go down further, then can buy more to average down. But then suddenly DJI exploded at night. Monday straight shoot up until today. And I missed the boat

This is the human psychology I can't get over with. Even with 8-9% yield, still takut

We are know the theory, but when come to the real buying and selling, very difficult to put into practice

Today i bought fraser comm trust, still able to get >7% yield though the price has bounced up about 10% from the bottom..but it is still about 15% from its peak

Yeah, agree, focus on the yields and fundamentals rather spending too much efforts on the "bounces" and catching the lowest entry...

In the above situation, one can always buy puts, or inverses or contras. We can always use such market emotions to our advantage.

Talking about the above, I have a question : how do we catch-up with our sleep,.. huh ? Daytime, play the warrants, night-time, play North American puts or shorts or perhaps merely observing the mkt in preparation for the next mkt day on Monday. I find it pretty taxing. Any opinions please ?

find a 11-7 job or work from home.

So no way to get more sleep if we are into this game.
