i can only tell u i am pleased with my move from bursa to sgx since 2 yrs ago - div, cap gains, fx gain.

usa - zero cap gain for 2015 (consistent with dow, s&p) but good fx gain.

singtel - no big deal cum div or ex-div - more about the price when u buy. for sgx, my exp is better buy cum div.

did what i planned...

singtel... added at 4.25. my average goes up from 4.07 to 4.12 - that's what i mean by "averaging up".

starhill... got tired of waiting for 0.87, added at 0.875.

ok, no more sgd, gotta wait for next div round.

Gross domestic product (GDP) contracted a sharp 4.6 percent on-quarter in the second quarter, well off a Reuters poll forecast for a 0.8 percent increase and a reversal from the first quarter's 4.2 percent expansion, according to data from Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry.
On an on-year basis, the advance estimate rose 1.7 percent, missing a forecast for a 2.4 percent rise from a Reuters poll and below the 2.8 percent rise in the previous quarter.

The Singapore dollar dropped after the data, with the U.S. dollar fetching 1.3601 Singapore dollars, the weakest since June.

anyone wanting to buy sg stocks and reits with rm, the exchange rate is less unfavorable now.

bnm been intervening the rm vs usd.

usd strengthened again with fed reaffirming rate hike this year 2 days ago.

as the "peg" is held at 3.80x, rm has gained 1% against the sgd within 3 days.

sgd/rm now 2.7895/2.7755.

I have to read 3 times to see your "less unfavorable" = good time to buy 

how malaysian normally buy singapore share?

u can buy via local broker platforms; nominee account; easier; higher brokerage.
u can buy direct in sgx if u hv bank account in singapore.
