The cheapest is solid surface, RM100+ to RM200+. Quartz & granite depends on the color & quality. Granite is about RM200+ to RM300+. Quartz, there are RM200+ (Local) and there are RM600+ (e.g. Ceaserstone, Silestone brand) pfr.

Solid surface can get scratched, cannot put hot things directly on top. Normally people use at dry kitchen. Granite/quartz is heavy duty.

Standard depth for kitchen top is 2ft. Thus, dimension = 2ft X length.

Indian black galaxy granite is one of the top grade granites. It's the most dense & looks nicer. That's y it's more expensive compared to other granites.

From what I surveyed, thickness should be standard 1". You might see 2" that's because of the additional 1" skirting.

If me, if budget allowed, surely I'll choose the black galaxy. :-D

Hi guys need help

my brand new kitchen granite top having pineapple juice stain after putting the pineapple without the plate and, unrealized that it was over ripen and the juice spread over the counter top.

i tried many means, but can't remove mark/etch.

Now Unity Kitchen got discount until 31st october. The price for granite and quartz is the same, i.e. RM 190 pfr, normal price 250.

Just got my quotation yesterday.
Dont know whether limited finish(design) or just the plain one.

I am going there to get better info.
Was told by the staff at Signature Kitchen that Granite/Quartz will absorb some moisture and transmit it to the base cabinet. This will make the base cabinet a bit smelly.. Anyone can vouch to this??

Anyone got any recommendation for nice finish?
