Whats ur Budget, x3 havent test before, x4 tested, very good, havent test x5, x6 tested WTFBBQ speaker

if u got the budget Get X6 straight u will get mind rape

my table is big but is full with other stuff(laptop, desktop, monitor and etc.)
the price different between those two is RM1k,
current money available can buy the x3 but can save money for 2 month to get the x4 (I'm a student btw)
last time buy ferox due to gaming and budget constraint not to mention no space on table and now want to get a speaker that can last 5++ years,
ferox sucks only lasted one year
I want a speaker to watch movie and enjoy some music (I'm not into heavy bass, can't stand that kind of music )

I'm a student can't afford x6 , can be bought if I no eat for 3 semester

x3 is powerful indeed. but i feel like audioengine a5+ got better bass, less detail perhaps, but different price, a5+ maybe 1.5-18k. TS said x series the signature same, different is bass, so i believe x3 and x4 x6 might sound the same, but bass wise x6 will have better bass, i think x series is more like an all rounder series. i have no problem getting rumbling sound if i turn the volume halfway up with DAC, but i will get complaint by other tenant lol.

I see, hmmm.....might as well I go audition at heavyarm for x3, but they no have x4 for audition , but I prefer clarity over bass
and I got my grandmother living with us, I won't even get chance from neighbor scolding as much from my grandma
most of my music is oldies

i owned m50w, s530d, aego m....
but personally favor aego m the most, much comfort to my ear(for long time listening) good soundstage if placed well
m50w is alright, build quality is good, but its sound signature not my cup of tea
s530d is loudest among them, but overall in sound quality not a level compared to above 2.

wow, a lot of collections you have there so what's ur main speaker now?

of course audio engine 5 give better bass, due to 5" driver.
actually u should turn DAC loud enough, right before clipping buffer, to feed speaker amp enough line signal.
otherwise the dynamic range is compressed.


make sure u audition x3 kaw2 as everybody has different taste.
heavvy bass might not ur favour, but lack of bass sure wont sound nice
my personal opinion (no test centre at my place) is 3" unable to produce full range sound.
especially when u plan to keep for long. so at least x4 or other choices


aego is tuned to very nice, lovely tone
as expected... s530 no competition for spl

how do u know where is right before the clipping buffer? sorry still a newb i am using this ud100 anyway..

If you can get the x4 by waiting a little more then by all means buy the x4 later.

I will move my aego m to the showroom. While the speaker is one of the greatest speakers and also one of those brands that we wanted to revive. I can demonstrate why the aego m is not in the same league as the m50w. If you have been exposed to bright and "airy" sounding speaker for a prolonged period of time, you need to spend just as much yime for your ears to adjust to a fuller sounding speaker. However the m50w sounds more like a sennheiser hd650 while the aego m sounds like an akg k501.

Can i come and try?

foobar with wasapi plug-in has bypassed win7 mixer, my win volume wont move.
well, i have this audiotrak sound bar to demostrate clearer view. too much yellow bar = u're losing dynamic range.
everything will sound like shouting, even the softest instrument or voice.

so u adjust music player volume to prevent win volume stay on maximum point all the time. touching is ok
but too low u will lose detail as the bit rate suffers

focal xs book， initially want buy aktimate mini...but during that time, its price already bump to somewhere i cant afford..haha

Was at heavy arm to demo 1010 n m50w. Was quite impressi with m50w the bass tight. I thinking between m50 n aego.

Cyntrix can give more details between these two?

If you listen to the M50W over 30-60 mins and through a wide selection of music, then listen to the Aego, you'd find that the Aego is missing a lot of details albeit that the M50W is quite a lot warmer sounding. If you go from Aego to M50W, immediately you will find M50W to be "muffled".

D1010 is an excellent speaker if you do not need the subwoofer. It is more balanced sounding by itself. The M50W without the sub is not tuned to deliver as full range as the D1010. D1010 almost sold out.
