Appreciace if you could delete all the sales link....  laugh.gif
You can search "GT750m" or "Y400" in the garage sales or use pm.  icon_rolleyes.gif

wao
but how about the screen quality and wifi issue?
last batch y500 -sli 650 got problem on wifi + screen dull
is it true? this unplug charger can last long how many hours?
with wifi on no game
+ wifi on with game
+ no wifi just normal usage

Best is to check and test the display unit yourself to determine the screen quality laugh.gif . You can also check with the Y500 sifus for feedback over here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2619081

According to notebookcheck, Y500/GT650m sli provides a decent battery capacity of 72 Wh or 6700mAh. It will last around 3hr 10min for surfing and around 4hrs when idle. The battery life is only average.
Its still worth for me to sacrifice some of its battery life to get the sli option and boost the performance close to GTX670mx with the attractive pricing laugh.gif The upcoming new Y500/GT750m sli is expected to perform close to gtx675mx, is hard to resist around RRP 3.8k(my guess). brows.gif
We can also disable the cpu/gpu boost to get more battery juice. laugh.gif

GX60 CPU is very preppy compare with Intel, it will bottleneck the 7970M GPU and get low fps when playing with high/ultra high resolution in certain games.

u can check the serial number before purchasing to make sure its local set. go to http://support.lenovo.com/en_MY/product-se...us/default.page? then key in the serial number. it will show u the location of the device, if local set, will show 'malaysia' n some other stuff haha

Err let me put it this way instead.

You will get same low/comparable fps like gtx680m/675m with Intel CPU when playing high/ultra at full HD. Because at the highest setting and resolution, bottleneck will be on the GPU and irregardless of CPU (in most games). In this case, both AMD and Intel proc are bottleneck by the GPU

However at lower reso or setting, GX60 will fall behind equivalent gpu with a Intel cpu, by a noticeable to large margin. This is the CPU bottleneck. However in this condition, the frame rates is still playable (as setting alrd lowered) so for some its not really an issue

Also other CPU intensive games like SC2 or mayb BF3 or GW2, no matter what setting GX60 will fall behind Intel.

Other things i noticed about is the AMD cpu load quite slowly, alth during gaming the fps is roughly the same (eg. Dota2 games usually im the last to load in)

Guys, i got an offer today in Lowyat.

2790 with free 4GB RAM upgrade, but i cannot install my ssd over there. :'(

And is it true that i can only extend warranty at official lenovo service centre?

Should i accept that offer and install my SSD somewhere else in lowyat?

What game u comparing it with? CPU bounded game like SC2, Skyrim, etcs will certainly bottleneck that HD7970M. hmm.gif

But a bottleneck HD7970M is still better than a GTX60M imo. laugh.gif

I thought GX60 was around RM4.5k? Price dropped that much?

Oh ya, for anyone that getting GX60, probably best to wait for its AMD A10-5750M refresh.

The Z400 is slightly slower in term of CPU and GPU power but you will appreciate that touch screen when using Window 8 imo, just be extra careful with the screen hinge. laugh.gif
