My Y500 GT750M also very hot after a few minutes spectating games in Dota 2 , fps around 40-60 maxed out , can dip to 30 with a lot of skills

Why every time I shut down, it doesn't shut down completely? Instead it is still on for a few minutes, nothing on the screen but the led is still on. The same thing happens when I turn it to sleep, but can't turn it on afterwards
