QUOTE(SoZa @ Sep 2 2012, 09:32 AM) the reason of sluggishness is to comply with european emission regulation, and the characteristic of cvt itself. try to compare with few other car with cvt transmission, then give us what you think. on my xtronic cvt, very responsive, continuous power thro out acceleration, rpm doesnt drop and no cut off power during gear change like manual or conventional auto cars.. |

QUOTE(SoZa @ Sep 2 2012, 09:56 AM) Than you, Nissan currently have the best CVT in the market. Unlike other CVT in the market that use steel belt, Nissan use toroidal CVT which can withstand higher torque. nissan toroidal CVT only found on one rare model of skyline sedan. xtronic cvt are using belt cvt |

QUOTE(stinger82 @ Sep 1 2012, 05:48 PM) u must test drive if u have the chance. this car have turbo right? probably the tuning is not good so when its in low gear it got feel .. high gear need to higher rev to get the feel.. anyway i haven test drive it .. but insaplah's ok la ..the cvt in potong insaplah is miles ahead comparedto pravia. 1. noisy . so damn noisy at low speed. 2. at high speed, when change gear, noacceleration feeling, just number is changing and engine roar like lorry. insaplah is quiet, and have the manual like feeling in manual mode( not entirely manual, but, i say 40 % feeling) when u downshift, it lures and goes faster and faster. when upshift, it will have the upshift feeling, like, hey, u decided not to strain the engine, thanks pal. but pravia, hmm....no feeling in 3456 gear. only 1,2 gear has feeling. |

QUOTE(izzizahari @ Sep 2 2012, 10:47 AM) not sure about 1.6 forte coz didnt drive it, but the cvt 2.0 inspira also lack feel of speed. even myvi feels powderfol than inspira in term of pulling feel (but actually inspirar is faster acceleration). i guess its just cvt characteristics. This is how a review should be made.... other than the acceleration, cvt sound, engine power, your other review is the same experience as me. the only real competitor for preve is forte, city, inspira with preve win the best bang of buck, but lacking prestige and slight quality drawback. |

QUOTE(Kinitos @ Sep 2 2012, 10:23 AM) Bro, Proton is suppose to luanch Preve in Australia this month, you write review like that how are those Assie dare to buy Preve? BTW all the PROFESSIONAL car reviewers never write anything close to what you write, ALL of them said PREVE can reach top speed 200km/h easily and pride of continental standard my review( actually is test drive experience, solely focus on speed ) is not a complete one. i'm more to the speed part, and i can see they look at insaplah, and improve on stuff that insaplah lack of. Such as the arm rest, the teh tarik hook, and the boot. that is a if PREVE is flop in Australia it will flop in M'sia too |

But actually its fast Driven Ford Ranger, Ford Everest, Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Hilux many times adi. At 140km/h No feel. Feel like at 100km/h. Then those lala myvi and saga have to gtfo cause their car is flying. Ironically my car is Saga. ![]() But the fastest speed I ever had in a car in VW Golf. Haha almost 220km/h This post has been edited by heavenly91: Sep 2 2012, 01:07 PM |

TS not a neutral car reviewer, enough said... he just go test drive with target in mind to really bash no matter how good that car is
if not, he will use proper name for proton car and not pravia or insaplah.. typical malaysian but in the end, just dont listen to others, its ur money so better test drive first before buy.. if its good enough for u, why care about others stoopid comments... |
