Galaxy Note 2 launch by Q4 in Malaysia

SAMSUNG Malaysia Electronics Sdn Bhd plans to introduce Galaxy Note 2, its second generation smartphone-tablet, to the Malaysian market by the fourth quarter of this year.

Samsung Electronics' mobile phone division head, Vincent Chong Weng Kai, said an announcement on the local launching of the smartphone-tablet, which became a hit among visitors at the largest electronics exhibition in Berlin recently, will be made soon.

He said the introduction of Galaxy Note 2, which follows the entry of the new Galaxy Note 10.1 as well as Galaxy S3, will be in line with the electronic giant's intention to generate growth through continuous development of excellent products.

"It is part of our expansion plan to solidify Samsung's market share, especially in the local mobile phone segment.

"Of course, Galaxy Note 2 will be brought into the local market in (the) following quarter," he said after the launch of the new Galaxy Note 10.1 here yesterday.

The Galaxy Note 10.1, an Android 4.0 tablet, has many enhancements that make it suitable for content creation, in addition to content consumption.

On the hardware front, the Note runs on a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and has 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage, a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800-pixel) screen, stereo speakers, a five-megapixel autofocus rear camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera and a stylus called the S Pen.

"Locally, the tablet, which would be available at all Samsung relay partners like DiGi, Maxis, Celcom and U Mobile, Samsung brand shop and all Samsung operators, will retail at RM2,199," said Chong.

We have not even see the Note 2 yet and now there are already news of the NOTE X , a 6.3 inch version ?? Not exactly a real product but a phone designed by Concept phones

according to my source, SME dealer.

Note 2 will arrive earliest by end of this month, latest by mid october. So far, he have yet to receive any stock on note 2 from SME. He say SME is quite unresponsive on this matter but from what he told, he will receive his stock earliest end of September. Most likely schedule for October release   

RRP will be around the same when the original note released but he cant give guarantee on it since SME again is unresponsive on giving an exact amount. On thing for sure it, it will released to rival iphone 5. So mostly it price will be lower or same with Iphone 5   That all i could say, then again take this with a pinch of salt 

Wow~ this is what i meant of evolution..sooner or later Note is going to reach this dimension and i still can accept it, but this is MAX for me...

Hopefully next week is the launching of Note 2 and white is available as choice.....

normally dealer or supplier will get stock at least one week at ahead to stockpile and sent to all shops

Wow it is becoming real soon.

Went to SenQ to play with Note 1 last night and didnt feel comfy with the stylus. Just hope Note 2 gives a better feeling.

On the other hand, read that S4 is coming out in Feb, which means price of S3 will be reduced.

samsung planning to flood the market i guess. every creep and corner will have samsung galaxy series to fit in.

while apple might be hoping on it enthusiast in their products, Samsung plan to fill every corner apple left out. Plus with the coming injunction in US, why not flood the market now and gain a few profit before it stops

There is not even a date of release yet
Telco packages always last minute usually announced 2-3 days only before official availability
