The reason I start this topic is because I want know who have the most supporter. DC or XL or other competitor as well.

For me, I support XL as I like their customer service & some of their toys is getting cheaper than DC. Not to mention they having sales every year for old & new toys. (Like last Buy 3 4 Free sales). The only time DC having sales is when they plan to clear their old stock or no sales at the end of the ear. (If I not mistaken).

I never like their customer services as they always llok down on people. Come on, people want to do business with them & they just simple igrone them. May be their already have regular cusomer to support them already. Already been a few years & they still haven't changes their way of doing business.

BTW, I though that they were bad in customer service but now I think they were not honest also as they like to mark up the price & blame on supplier.

Like example: SENGOKU CANNON KYORI PVC Statue
DC start out by selling RM229 then they increase to RM260 by blaming that supplier giving the wrong calculation. I think they mark up the price them self after they know the naughty secret of it.

I e-mail to DC to book it because I also a nauhty boy. They reply me that all booked by memeber but I can bid on their e-bay. Start out with RM320. I'm that stupid to bet as I don't want they to make moneys out of it & I rather buy other stuffs also.

While XL start out by RM218 while preoder RM208. Both were cheaper then DC. At lease XL was honest to their customer no matter new or regular. Now, I really like shop at XL as they provide good service & honest.

This just option, no offence. So, Now I would like to hear from other supporter. XL or DC or other toys competitor.

I think it's common knowledge by now to those who are into these kinda stuff that the folks at DC just plain suck.

I've had my share of bad experiences with them.

I may not have encounter this but I bought Rodimus+Wing Saber from DC through Ebay Malaysia for RM165 with free shipping , and arrives at exact 2 days later . Even though they give people the chance to bid , they also available the "buy it now" button so I don't have to waste time to bid like hell .

I also had good time chatting through sms with the seller and he helped me alot in the buying process . But then it may happen to me now cause I sms the seller to ask about the Gundam Seed Red Frame for 2 days but he never replied . I should sms him again tonight .

Got any other online toys e-shopping besides tat two? I want buy gundam models only but DC is expensive while XL always out of stock.....

i always buy my figure from XL-shop. the prices are mostly cheaper than the others. But for Gundam fans, i recommend you visit DC. Sometimes they have a lot of promotions

but sometimes there are shops that sell some items cheaper. (Toy Quest for example)

There's another shop at the top floor of Sg Wang, croner shop next to Litt Tak and cosmic Bowling. Their Gundam prices are quite low also but always out of stock

^Toy quest is OUTSIDE. At Jln Bukit Bintang, same road with KFC. Hard for me to explain, but you can't miss it. it's there.

there's once i bought KoF gashapon from HLJ (LYP LG)at RM50 (after bargian), retail price at other shops (XL) RM60 fixed price.
so far that's a one off event. haven't buy anything else from there since the remaining gashapons that they bring in don't appeal to me.
There are plenty of Star Wars figures and gundam kits there too but i'm not so certain about the price since i don't really keep track of these toys.

There's another shop in Amcorp Mall PJ called Toy Whiz (or is it ToyWiz??)
anyway, their preorder is slow (2-4 weeks slower than DC), but once stock arrive, they'll SMS you and reserve one for you till you pick it up. very friendly young chap. price almost the same as XL and Ultimate Toys.

i know the kent mak's wife(is it?) from DC-her attitude is so bad....last time i buy some model gundam(their prices is cheaper than other shops) when i honestly ask can less@not(just wanna try to test what will they do) and she says "NO,THERE IS NO DISCOUNT" WTH she scold me....while the kent mak sit there watch the show..totally sh*t at all...

From what I know DC has a steady flow of regular customers already and they basically ignored new customers. That's not his wife. She is her MOTHER! BTW, you're lucky you didnt ask Kent Mak. You know what he will do. He will look at you with a very lcly face and walk away. In other words - take it or leave it. I saw he did this to many of their customers who asked for cheaper price.

Xl service is good and poisonous. If only their prices are lower, then it would be nice

XL- shop - used to buy from the branch at S & M, there's one guy that is quite friendly there, use to chat with him when i go there, and price he give is quite ok, too bad the branch close down liao. the last time i buy something from XL was valentine day, quite ok loh, prices sometimes high, somtimes ok

DC - yup the guy boss is damn lcly, so i always prefer to deal with his mum, treat me pretty ok though, but thn i seldom go there one , still waiting for the last issue of the dmc comics i ordered. prices are usually the lowest but the guy really lcly, really put me off. oh yeah i got a fren who refused to go in there anymore, he told me he used to be a regular there, but sometime happens, the ppl there got more lcly i think, and he dun like to go there anymore

stardust memories (top floor sg wang) - another shop with low prices, get their stock from DC i think, the boss is ok but things are always out of stock though

HLJ - oso got low prices and decent service, but the last time i went there, they dun have much gundam in stock though, service is quite decent

fantasy toys - prices fluctuates too much, last time i saw he selling freedom mg for 200+ while other shop is between 160-170, but there are times when the price is cheap though, service ok ok loh

time machine - accidentally found the place, saw that they are selling freedom mg for 160, quite cheap , need to pay a visit to the place again next time to have a better look around, the lady there quite friendly though

i also prefer XL shop.... personally go there once oni... TS branch.. but not much toys there compare to thier website... maybe need reserve first... i always order from XL shop online..... although the price are abit higher.. but some toys u cant find it in other shop.... but the bad things is ... XL dun restock much ... after out of stock .. then tats it... and the last time i bought from XL shop ... is a F16 Dragon model diecast... warbird series... i think tats the last pcs of it... so the box abit old... and some of the fuel tank's connector even broken... maybe its an display unit.. but stil very new... but the broken connector can stil be fitted back so i dun mind... and the box arrive my house less than 12 hrs after i bank in

and one last thing..... i rather go and buy from shop tat give good customers service (but exp ) rather than 10 + bux cheaper... and giv u shitty face i wan to use my money happily

everytime when i do business..... i dun charge cheap..... normal charge but giv really good service.... tats how i do business.... sometime customers know u sell more exp to them.. but u really treat them very nicely... they wont mind....

at least at sri comp the amount of stuff they have is equivalent to toys u us.

OMG.... yesterday i went to a small toy model shop.... and get to know the boss there... he told me tat KL hav a store name DC..... then i can guess wat he wnana tell me edi he din say anything...... jus ===> haha and he is from kuching... he told me tat if i wan any model or anime figure from thoes mag.... he can order for me ..... and wat make me terkejut is the price he giv me SOOO cheap !! he told me tat he order from taiwan directly... he show me one set of Dragonball Z from Bandai.... the quality really very good.... and the price oni RM 50 i thought tat would be RM 100 ++ be he say RM 50 oni... for 7 fig !! he ask me to go get it today but i duno hav the time o not

A great place to hunt for Gundams! Pricing not much different from major departmental store.... maybe they have to protect them~ nice showcase! Lots of assembled Gundams model! Impressive!

Fantasy Hobby
Used to buy action figure from them, hard to bargain, even the price is 20% higher than others, they wont discount a single cent to u... toys been kept nicely, MISB C9-C10 conditions! Have a nice showcase too~

I never having any bad experience with DC cos i never go into their shop!!!

I would like to point out that UT may have good PR but their opening times are simply too irregular. The best example is the one in 1U. 90% of the time you go there, the shop is either closed or they block the entrance with this huge standee of Legolas. This really discourages potential shoppers who may find something that they may want. But Zaffri [don't know the correct spelling] is the man there, good PR.

One con of GT/TQ is that they sell fake figures. This totally mislead ppl who are not so into toy collecting, as I saw one kuai lo buying a whole lot of fake Koto SW once. They get hooked instantly when they see a buy one free one thinking it is a great deal. I was disgusted to see this scenario acting out. I'm sure ppl can point out many more fake toys in the store but the prices are not too great also.

The infamous DC of course has the terrible bad PR boss, PMS looking wife and the bald kid. Scalpers with the capital S. Enough said. The friendliest dude is Jason from DC on the 7th Floor in BTS. Don't think he is there anymore though.

Everytime I go there, this guy always busy playing with video games. Dont care about the customer also BTW DC is closing its branch in BTS

i support aunty lenny's shop in sri petaling, endah parade

the reason? first of all the price is cheap... the price is comparable to DC and star dust (which i find is the cheapest). ok, maybe like 5-10 ringgit more... but most of the gundams there are selling for the same price as DC.

but the most important reason is aunty lenny she is a very good business women, and she makes evey customer feel at home. I've been there a couple of times with some friends, and every time we end up chatting wih her. And she gives good information about the modelling industry in japan since she always goes overseas to get stock. She even makes comparisions btw different toy manufacturers in japan, regarding which company makes the best toys, which is the cheapest and such... When asked about gundams, she (and her modelling master) often gives advice...

i still remember the time when i helped my friend to ask about the 1/400 meteor... she immediately advised me not to get that one becoz it's damn small and not worth the price, recommended other models instead.... and to think that she's selling it in her shop!!

when shopping for stuff, the thing that i dont like is that the salesperson doesnt know a thing the stuff he sells. Not with the case here. THis is why i like going to her place, even though i'm not buying anything, she'll still chat with us customers... and allow us to touch the models which are not in the display cabinet.

about XL..... i've never bought stuff from them... so not sure..

DC is the fcuking worst.... when i wanted to buy my old deathscythe... the first stop i went there. when i enquired about older GW models... the auntie there gave me this shit look and pointed a finger to a bunch of models, saying "there... find yourself" WTF and the boss was sitting there smoking like no other's business.... damn with this kind of shit attitude, who cares if your price is low........ you're not the only one selling cheap you know

Stardust is slightly better... although the shopkeepers dont entertain you, at least they answer when asked...

I do agree with StarGhazzer that Aunty has one of the nicest personality ever and her prices are reasonable. I chatted with her before, and she thinks of herself as a collector herself and not as a businesswoman who is trying to rip ppl off.

But sadly, she only stocks mostly model kits and TF which is not my kind of thing.

i went to check out the FF7 - cloud fenrir..
the old lady told me it was RM 420
so i didnt buy la and walk to the other shop nearby same floor

next coz i saw the mcfarlane dragon deluxe boxset i want to get and this shop doesn't have it so i went again to DC to buy it
of coz that lady saw that i already bought the cloud + fenrir so she asked me how much i bought it, i said RM380 she was like.. "WHY I SELLING RM 330 u BUY so EXP?"
so i told her.. if RM330 i buy one more from her, then she quickly say those box ppl already ordered (i highly doubt it.. there is around 6-8 box there.. i asked when is she getting more stock.. she said dont know..

That's the owner's mother, I assume. Usually when dealing with something with such a huge amount, they will definitely entertain you and treat you very nice one. Maybe something wrong with her that day and FYI she's not very good with the merchandising prices, so next time try to bargain with her. Not like the owner chances of you getting a cheaper price is 0%.

BTW, to all kids members here, next time when going for some shopping spree at XL, please check the items prices from their website first. Why? One of the Bleach figurines that I bought yesterday cost RM158 on their web, but I was charged RM178 for it. Lucky I went through the receipt and asked them to check the price again.

DC got such reputation already ar ? heheh i tot i was the only one. But id o find the aunty there quite friendly. My first time i went there, (times square wan) the aunty was ther with a kid and nobody else around. So stood there and look for the stuff lor and she was kind enough to allow me to check the kits out myself. She even opened a Freedom Gundam & G Gundam MG kit for me to see inside...but i didn't buy. But i did got my sista to get the V2.0 Zeta from there...the guy sounded helpful even to the extent of counting the Zeta's fingers and describing it's design through the phone. I was very happy with that...until i met Mr.FATA55 in BB plaza. Sudahlah shop small, I want to see also hard...ask assistance and he look like a guy with down's syndrome...yeah i think he has it. Smoking all the way pretend like nobody in the shop...stinx. Then i asked about the magazine with an attached box, he said "its a toy". So i wanted to buy Nemo...asked him can i have a look...he said NO. U must buy then can look. Wah piang...tot buying something more pricey since the aunty so good,after see that guy's face...Nemo is the last la...then nomore la. niway give the anuthy face la and i buy the nemo.

Then this guy entered, asked about some stuff, that guy said priced at 240 something. So this guy said nevermind la come back later when its cheaper, then the fata55 said i'm hiking the price already, u want buy now. I tot to myself, damn, this guy is friendly...throughout my time there, i think he said less than 50 words. I think i said more because I'm asking questions.

Think i wont go to the BB plaza anymore la...waste time see MR.LARDBOTTOM.

XL, got lotsa stuff and only a bit pricey than DC. 5 bux or so...Go BB I need monorail which cost me 4bux plus toll and petrol...wah piang. Some more XL sometimes got pretty gals following u around... DC got Fatass siting there thinking u wanna steal something or wat...duh. At least got pretty gals there nevermind the snobbish behaviour lar...

i've never been to times square DC, so dont know about the service there... but the BB one i have the same experience and i guess the others here in this forum have the same issue too... the boss should really think about his shit attitude...

and the endah parade is the one beside the kesas, with the carrefour... it's not that ghosttown lah, but of course dont expect tons of crowds there... aunty lenny's shop is full of gundams... even if she doesnt have the stock you want, she'd probably be able to get it for u as she goes overseas quite often to get stock.... it's best if you call her up personally to enquire about the stock before you go to the shop... the phone number is somewhere up there among the older posts

Actually if u got chance to Hong Kong, Mongkok is the paradise for toy's collector. there got a lot of Shopping mall or shopping complex. Each one got more than 5 toys shop inside. bear in mind that the toy shop in HK usually open after 2pm. and close before 5 or 6.

XL Pros - lots of stockable items nice interior, MV branch got 1 fei fei specky dude duno the name but is friendly and knows his toy and giv u cheap price sometimes (deal with him beta) good PR, TS wan got lenglui well sort of lor oni hear nice voice nvr see yet,if not mistaken specky oso haha

Here are some simple directions to get there. Let's say you take Kesas from Summit. Keep straight, pass the first toll, the 2nd toll. After the 2nd toll, skip the first two turns on your left.

At the 3rd exit, take it. You'll see a traffic light, turn left. You'll see another traffic light, turn right. You will now be able to see Endah Parade on your right.

To get there, go all the way straight, you'll meet another traffic light, make a U-turn. Keep to the left and you'll see the parking sign into Endah Parade.

Once you're in the complex, take the 'bubble' lift up to the 3rd floor. On your immediate right, you'll see Glory System Enterprise. Woila, you're there.

i think you must be talking about Kenji. well, to me i think he's a pretty nice chap. i've deal with him for a long time since the name of the shop was still xiao long. plus he remembers his customers. i got no problem dealing with him though.

XL give better service and PR, often give me discount around rm5 off the listed price, of course you HAVE TO ASK...just a simple question can save u 5 bucks

first experience with the shop at BB is mostly like other member here, LCLY, ask to see the toy(bring down from the shelf) then she scold me "u wanna buy or not, no intention to buy dun see lar, u r lucky today, if u asked this to Kent, he will not even entertaint u"
overall this shop is just like a share market, they will adjust their price according to the market demands....demanding item, price will be jack up like hell
if the items are carry by many other toy shops, then they will lower down the price like hell too ..they just know when to hit other shops and rob our hard earn money..@#$%^&*

Graffiti and ToyQuest, i think they are inter related, cause when i asked for the business card from TQ, the card got printed Graffiti contact too, some members told me both shops are own by same boss.
do take note that sometimes they also give the lowest market price on certain item for limited period....recently i went to GF, got some old Gundam GFF with reasonable price, also some pvc japanese animation figures with good price too, all this promotion item only pay by cash term...

Fantasy Toys accepts credit card but will charge an extra 3% i think... Not so sure bout the other toy shops though

Toy Shop top of SG.Wang is StarDust Memory, beside is Litt Tak.
StarDust Memory is also bring their stock from DC, their price usually is same.

Usually i bought my toys from DC, StarDust & Fantasy Toys.
mostly Gundam from DC, only once i bought the Faiz SIC from DC, because is veli cheap tat time, cheaper from others toy shop.
Fantasy Toys usually go there buy MCfarlane Toys, cause there got sell toys separately..
Mostly I won't go to XL to buy toys, mostly when i go to compare those price of my favourite toys, it came up tat XL is more expensive than others..oops, forgot only one Pia Carrot figure i bought from XL..but sadly, i found out i bought it rugi, cause at Sg.Wang sell cheaper RM20

WTF is point card ??? i went to XL toys in MV and they nvr give me anything ...

Every RM20 you spend in XL will earn you one point. The points will be in the form of stickers, which you stick in your point card. After you accumulate a certain amount of points, you can redeem them for stuff.

NOOOOOOO ... wasted at least 10 stickers liao me boh song XL liao ... gonna go there nxt time and tell the guy ... wah maybe they take our stickers ...

You still keeping your receipt? Just go there tomorrow or something and tell them you didnt collect your stickers lor.

actually it is RM40 for PVC and RM20 for trading/gashapon per sticker. my friend left one card to finish his 540+ plus point. heheheheheee

while hunting for gundams...i went to these shops ...

DC (sg wang)
- looks nice from outside, i though i saw toys heaven . Proceed enter the shop, wow, first impression. Messy! directly there are a bunch of gundam boxes blocking the door when i tried to enter. The shopkeeper ignored me because talking with someone. Then i enquire for some models, instead of the elder one , the younger kid attended to my enquiries, he told me here no sell this model.
Then i asked for keroro models. He asked me "Keroro...?", asked twice as if the spelling is incorrect , thinking i've found it..then he told "No we don't sell keroro here"
Price wise is above average. No purchase from here. Noticed they sell alot of chogokins from the outside shelf

XL (time square)
- ok, looked long for this shop, their website is pretty cool to check the price before buying. Nice service, i was greeted the moment i entered the shop, asked for some models and tada, immedietly in front of me.. and the price is good (well at least for the item i was finding) , not to mention the hawt sales girl . Apart from the irregular price margins, the point system is very good marketing plan as it isn't offered in most toy shop, too bad it is very steep to collect for low end collectors. Variety and service is the key here.

Er..Toy shop in lowyat (forgotten the name again 1st floor)
- looks like a shop specially for gundam, a big portion of the shop are for gundam models. The uncle on the counter did not show friendly face at first. But i was standing there over 1 hour asked alot of question and the uncle didn't get annoyed yet . What is great about this shop is, gundam bargains are available most of the time. The uncle would display 2-3 gundam with special price tag on it. Often the bargain price is really reasonable but the quantity available is very low. I had snatched a zeta v2 before and it comes with a model cutter too . Overall great price for majority of the gundams, if you're a MG hunter this place is highly recommended.

GT (time square)
- I had entered this shop once before, the overall impression they gave me, is rather spooky.. I entered the shop to find for gundams, which is located at the back end of the shop. I was standing and looking for quite some time but could not make up my mind (as the price is not as attractive). So i decided to stop checking out here and move on next shop. Little did i expect, the shopkeeper was peeking on me from the front of the shop all the time man, that gives me the creep
- Second time i came, hoping to find better price. Wow this time i was greeted by a tall man. I asked for gundams and he showed me the way. And another wow, the price was terrific, apparently it was some kind of new pricing scheme for that period. I also asked how long will this promotion will last, but he replied with "We intend to sell at this price permanently " . However i got the news later days that the price was too good that other shops complained, well back to old prices should've snatched more

Well, Time Machine and Toyz eXPRESSions in Time Square has the best price and environment man ! i bought garo and SIC from those places.
