haizzzz, sad news. But it seems to be that Sony is really marketing opticontrast with Z and ZL, so I guess the 2013 range will confirm have it ( I guess they were still testing it with TX before mass producing it )

both 8260A and 8960 are basically the same S4 krait chipset. Only difference is 8960 have built in LTE radio.

So, Xperia V have following advantage over TX
- water and dust resistance
- LTE ready
- Bravia engine 2

but V only have 4.3" screen as some bro mentioned...

Damn...no ori white set. Only black. So damn pissed.

after all the bar from bottom in TX,the usable space are almost the same

So that would mean we'll have to eye for the opticontrast screens?

dunno if the shop allows to test before buying or not

The build with firmware 'c' has pitch black front panel and the grid on the touch panel is visible under direct light or at a small angle

On the build with firmware 'B', the screen outlines are visible and not completely blended with the bezel and the grids are not visible!

I'm one of the unlucky guys got the C version......

But still my TX display at 50% brightness only already super clear, bright and beautiful....good enough for me. Only know the difference when i read here otherwise i can't even tell the difference.

That problem SONY HK has claimed the OptiContrast is same technique with the no air gap.

They sure defend their product wan... In reality its better.. Yea i know no opticontrast also better d TX screen but screen looks more sharp with that tech..

Wta whether the 2013 xperia line will be equipped with opticontrast tech?

So can you explain about the hardware how can check by software? Example the screen. How they just check by the software and know A is no air gap & B is opticontrast? Just they said.

They(ppl at xda, dev) conduct experiment on this.
