haizzzz, sad news. But it seems to be that Sony is really marketing opticontrast with Z and ZL, so I guess the 2013 range will confirm have it biggrin.gif( I guess they were still testing it with TX before mass producing it hmm.gif)

So that would mean we'll have to eye for the opticontrast screens?

dunno if the shop allows to test before buying or not unsure.gif

both 8260A and 8960 are basically the same S4 krait chipset. Only difference is 8960 have built in LTE radio.

So, Xperia V have following advantage over TX
- water and dust resistance
- LTE ready
- Bravia engine 2

but V only have 4.3" screen as some bro mentioned...
*
Xperia V also has the upper hand with HDR function and Superior Auto on the camera, Clear Audio+ as opposed to Clear Bass on the TX, Bluetooth 4.0 vs 3.1, sensor on lens vs extra layer of sensor behind lens. However what lets me down about V that makes me still chose TX over V are V is more thicker and no dedicated shutter.

-On Build with touch firmware C (No air gap) the front side is completely black from top to bottom, its hard to tell where are the screen edges.
-Grid or pattern of small dots points are very visible when the screen is off even under regular lit environment, trying to tilt the phone slightly will reveal an entire pattern on the touch panel.
-The viewing angles on this build is a joke, my Xperia P has better viewing angles, colors looked washed out and has yellow tint to it.
-Placing both builds side by side and comparing the colors while viewing stock photos will make you think as if build "touch firmware B" version is using bravia engine 2 because the contrast is alot better and colors are more vivid.

I was going to trade my 'B' build to 'C' since I had two stuck pixels or dust whatever it is, but for me it was a big trade off! I dont even see these two tiny dots on my normal daily use unless I look for them!

Anyway, there is an easy way to tell which version is which without turning the phone on and going to the service menu.

The build with firmware 'c' has pitch black front panel and the grid on the touch panel is visible under direct light or at a small angle

On the build with firmware 'B', the screen outlines are visible and not completely blended with the bezel and the grids are not visible!

Hope that helps

So can you explain about the hardware how can check by software? Example the screen. How they just check by the software and know A is no air gap & B is opticontrast? Just they said.
