i think D800 is really worth it..according to fellow other users lar..jz that hear ppl saying the focusing on the left gt some issue..
n i think D600 will be just a "consolation" for those who cant get D800..dno hw d600 will be against d700 hmm.gif

Thought I tried ISO 3200 at MVCC but soon regretted  cry.gif doh.gif

Should have use FLASH instead hmm.gif, maybe high iso really not practical to use for portrait.. unsure.gif

i dont see anything wrong in the picture, the hair details is there, shadow details retained, eyes is in focus and sharp, skin color is fair and smooth, eyes got catchlight, the HP board and hair contrast is a bit low but pp can save it

still can be save during pp if you are shooting raw and people just look at the girl most of the time, so as long as can see the face gao dim already whistling.gif

your SOOC is already good and it is properly exposed, white balanced is off, i assume you use auto?

PP is just to enhanced what is there, not to save a bad image

i'm going to asaban festival later, it is in an indoor basketball court, expect your picture to have green tint without custom white balance

This is nice smile.gif

Guys, what picture styles you all use? For video and photography on your Nikon.

I can't trust my D7000's LCD. The colour looks nice on camera, but when I transfer to my PC, it looks hell... sleep.gif" (Or maybe I just didn't check the colours on my camera.)

If I use standard, it looks to plain on PC, if I use vivid, the colours looks too strong some times.

i shoot NEF so the picture style doesn't really matter, for video i dont know since i hardly do video, maybe just left it at standard or neutral

+1 RAW ftw
i just leave it on auto if im using JPEG. rarely does it require any tweaking though. if it does, change the kelvin temp and im good to go smile.gif

correcting barrel distortion on buildings in post, how 'accurate' is that? as compared to a lens with minimal barrel distort. haha my friend using canon 1Ds.. im not sure how serious he is, but he has has been talking about it for years.

So if i wanted to do a some architecture photography my 1755 would be sufficient for a start ?
on a side note, today I was given an extra flash from 1988.. lol ... SB-24 amazing, it still works! But no optical trigger, drats!
*
correcting them in post can get pretty accurate. it all depends on the the photographer's eye.
if you friend was using the 1Ds, then it's a plus point as he get to use the 17mm TSE... probably one of the best L lens. the 24mm TSE is fantastic too. just remember to get a super sturdy tripod (Gitzo series 3 at least) and a hot shoe spirit level and your friend can start to make some moneyyyy

just got my d3200, first dslr. wanna ask when the lens is put in auto mode, it would auto focus and stuff would look sharp, but if it's in manual mode, it doesnt look sharp. why is that? should i press the shutter release longer to keep it in focus during manual mode?
