just got my d3200, first dslr. wanna ask when the lens is put in auto mode, it would auto focus and stuff would look sharp, but if it's in manual mode, it doesnt look sharp. why is that? should i press the shutter release longer to keep it in focus during manual mode?

hi guys, wanna get my first lens other than the d3200 kit lens.

question is if fx lens is put onto my d3200 would the picture and viewfinder look as if it is 1.5x?

like 50mm would become 75mm?

planning to get 50mm f1.8G which cost around 798 at nikon website. any recommendation i can get cheaper on other place?

not sure, why would you need that on kit lens? i thought it is good for long telephoto lens only?

its to block lights not to look cool lol.

btw is there anyway i can have (tictactoe line) in my viewfinder?

yeah it activates on live view only i think. but camera not with me so would check it out when i am back.

opps i meant 85mm1.4g. so the price is 5k?

what lens are you using? sometimes if your focus is off from the subject it wont zoom i think. maybe its the metering you set?

I set 6400 first to see how the noise would be like at 6400 ISO.
