Hi all,

I'm still can't decide whether I should go for Chiyoda's interview for Junior Engineer position. It is stated clearly that minimum 3 years are needed if we accept the offer. I am JPA scholar and I'm afraid that I will called for government service during the period of working. Any advice? Thank you.

get Celcom.

sometimes, near south china sea when using maxis speaking with someone, one can listen "voice..no voice...voice...no voice..." from your speaker for the conversation. so most of the times, i will switch to my another phone using celcom when at labuan. so far stationed at there long time ago 3 months using celcom data plan very good transfer rate especially midnight. just hope no raining. if raining, the signage may not good.
celcom the best choice for among the 3 telcos at labuan in term of coverage at present.

Hi.
I'm also a JPA scholar.JPA funded me for 4 years during my years in Japan.
Based on my experience, they will not 'call' u. U still hv to go thru the same process as everybody else.
Apply SPA, went for the tests, interviews n so on.
Most of my friends who got offered to work with govt are now working with them.
But there are some who rejected the offer coz they are already working elsewhere n making big bucks.
So, IMHO go for Chiyoda.
Cheers! biggrin.gif

Hello everyone,

I am from civil engineering background and I wish to join oil and gas industry. However, from what I have read in oil and gas v1, v2 and v3 there weren't much civil engineers who have the opportunities to go offshore to work (information based on my extent of knowledge). Oil and gas industry hires mostly mechanical engineers, chemical engineers and petroleum engineers. Civil engineers are usually the minority in the industry who are required to work onshore and have little chance to be posted to work offshore.

So, I am wondering what kind of position would provide higher chances for civil engineers to be posted to offshore to work? For example, geotechnical engineer, structural engineer, etc (branch from civil engineering background). How about pipeline engineer? Other than pipeline engineer? Thanks a lot smile.gif

at most 38 but sometimes it depends on the doctor whether he will give you the extension, in some cases, 6 months are only given.
