is it true that most of the OnG company in Malaysia are expanding ?
i heard from my friends who work in OnG field, like most of their company are expanding, like technip, exxon etc

why is this phenomena happening ar ? economic turn better ? so more operator invest on E&P ? hence more project ??

why for shop drawings, there exists two types of drawings, one is "normal" shop drawings and another is NDE shop drawings..

Can anyone explain to me what is NDE and what are the differences of both drawings? thanks.

CGPA 3.75.

If I wanna work offshore, what position is suitable?
Anyway, does oil rig need people to treat water or wastewater on board so that people working there can have safer water to use and wastewater get to be cleaned before recycle or dump away?

obviously depending on position. rigger, painters, catering crew usually dont have degrees

So that I will not have any problem to do Engineering, Construction, Operation and Project Management..

Hai guys.. I really2 need opinions regarding this..

I'm one of PETRONAS scholar that was recently graduated (Oct. 2012) from local university and my background is in Electrical & Electronics Eng major in Instrumentation & Control. I have passed PETRONAS structured interview and within 6 months (from 1st Oct. 2012), HR will try to find the placement for me either at the headquarter or their subsidiaries.

Unfortunately, till now, 3 months + already, there still no job offer for me from PETRONAS. Should i wait, or just apply for other company. Btw, previously i have done my industrial internship with Baker Hughes under drilling & drill bit systems dept.

My questions;
1) Should i wait for PETRONAS? I really didn't intend to breach the contract since they are kindly enough to sponsor for my degree.

2) Should i just apply back at Baker Hughes for field engineer position? Till now i didn't apply any position at Baker because the last time i contact with HR, they need to see release letter from my sponsor before they can offer a position to me.

well, some issues need onshore support as well, and depending on individual workpacks of the work order on how well the material readiness is, and also manpower estimation. Not to forget, project delay is also caused by weather as well 

Gumusut has high safety requirement which requires rounds of procedures and checklists first before executing anything. This greatly contributes to the delays on the project.
