Field Engineer was suffer..gives me 10k also i will think twice to be field engineer... no life...working in SapuraKencana before..my friends field engineer should have toothbrush and 1-2 pieces clothes in their bags everyday since everday just waiting instruction to go everywhere.

Is good for young people those who not married yet..easily can get 10-13k per month..but for married guy, it really horror...unless u chase for money in sake to pay any debt...

Added on January 4, 2013, 6:09 pmto be honest, I am doing project management right now (client side) and I am planning to jump to the drilling contractor side as field engineer and so far I have yet to receive any good response as of now. Hmm..

consultants company (emphasize on design engineers, and others except the offshore team itself) like technip, ranhill, aker hardly have their staffs go offshore. Just do design consultations and paper works on pc in office.
