Cannot compare like that o.
I think WP is more conservative and efficient with the battery usage than Android.

But then I really do wonder, why are manufacturers currently using Li-Polymer batteries since they shifted to Li-ion? Is li-ion not better?

I tried the HTC 8X today at the Mid Valley PC expo. It is fast and feels pretty nice in the hand... but I still wish I could set a custom background for the homescreen like in Windows 8 Metro Start screen.

According to Microsoft, a phone's screen is too small. Setting a background would eventually overshadow everything else, especially the tiles. It may change when as we advance, as screen resolution improves.

How's the price there? Cheaper than here?

Nah gadgets are pretty much around Rm 100-200 more expensive here. But if I can get it earlier that Malaysia I don't mind that much.

Microsoft may think that but they should still let it be an option. They shouldn't try to babysit us too much otherwise people will just go for Android/iOS to get the customization they want.

Maybe yes, maybe no. It's not important to me. What's most important is for them to fix the bloody WiFi disconnect issue. I've sent emails to multiple execs in Microsoft. First to Ballmer, he then directed me to Richard which is the head of product engineer or something. To date, still no fix.

Hi guys the HTC 8X looks pretty interesting too, but since it does not have Nokia Drive, I'd like to know if there's 3rd party GPS voice navigation for non-Nokia WP handsets... ??

It's not a bug. It's indeed a so called feature and that is working against me. So, a "fix" is really required lol

Edit: It's said that Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive will come to all Windows Phone 8 users. Nokia users will have an exclusive app called Nokia Drive+ which will bring a lot more features than those 2 combined.

meh wp8 live tiles notification is still 'hit and miss'. New kernel, built from scratch and still they can't fix that.

Malaysia is not in the first batch of countries to get the new Lumia series.
You could be waiting well into January 2013.

But hey, if the world ends in December, you could have saved about RM2K. LOL
