But again...why do you need after sales service when your monitor is top notch quality and not giving you any problem at all ?

the build quality differs. dell's ultrasharp lineup has very sturdy base/stand

as for the warranty service, every monitor will face dead pixel anytime soon. if the manufacturer's warranty service sucks / does not provide 1 to 1 exchange / RMA, u might have to stuck with the 'flawed' monitor.

wait, LG series 7 has been released? hmm.gif
*the one with wide gamut
LG 27EA83

because we are talking about monitors and these stuff will have dead pixel anytime at any point no matter what brand you choose. btw all new monitor will have 1-2 deadpixel and some brand will not exchange it unless there are more dead pixel

I am using the LG IPS237L right now with a PC and a PS3 and as far as I can tell it's pretty good. The OSD is really bad though compared to Dell's excellent OSD on their Ultrasharp displays. Out of the box the colour calibration is passable , though far from perfect. I can't notice any streaking or blurring with fast scrolling text or games. The anti glare coating is not too coarse, imo it's a bit milder than on the U2312HM.

hi mate, would like to compare with this 2 item

plz dont compare the size, just compare the spec, quality etc

Dell S2740L VS U2312HM

the s2740L is 27" with ips panel but would like to ask how is the screen quality compare to ultrasharp series ? like the lowest price unit U2312HM ?

S2740L has massive glare due to the fact that it has a glass layer [with a substantial air gap] on top of the actual panel. The LG IPS277L should perform about the same but with much less glare [the anti glare coating is supposed to be removable like phone screen protectors.]
