QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 27 2013, 12:15 AM) Borders with Radioshack inside: Gardens Mall, The Curve, Tropicana City Mall. Not sure about other cities/states. The one I saw with the Sandisk SSD is in Gardens Mall. Not sure about other places... I went to Borders @ Radio Shack in Queenbays mall, Penang. All the things they sold are rojak mix items :| No SSD...

QUOTE(Yagami5159 @ Apr 26 2013, 11:57 PM) Which BORDER bookstore? The BR1M voucher are still left in my drawer untouched...hope to get another SSD from PC fair or somewhere else. Anyway...can a Plextor M5S raid 0 with other brand (like crucial) SSD with the same controller? Well bottleneck do occurs on file transfer...not much...but still do. normal peoples don't do large file transfer day by day. so SATA2 bottleneck thingy is a NOT NECESSARY TO CONCERN point for me under home user environment

Is there any Asus N53SN user here? How to check whether my laptop support Sata 3 or not? I am planning to buy Intel 520 series 120gb SSD.

just asking. How much will be the expected price of a SSD in, let's say 2 years time? 'm using SSD(kingston v300 120 Gb) now and I fell in love with it. However, 'm worried about my extreme (very heavy internet user) usage may shorten it's lifespan and need replacement in 2 years or so. 2 years is the usual lifespan of my drive (my experience with HDD 5400rpm). p/s: can't life without ssd as primary drive.

Your laptop is using Intel HM65 Express Chipset , and Intel HM65 Express Chipset supports SATA III connection http://www.intel.my/content/www/us/en/chip...ipset-hm65.htmlp/s: ain't an expert.

I download a buttlots of data ( games , movie & shits) & video streaming a lot. 'm using SSD as my C: drive. so, all my temporary files(win,IDM & browers) in there. in a nutshell, temporary files/data write on disk & I got lots of temporary data being write(& delete) on daily basis. You can try set the directory of your download client to your HDD drive, this may help I think because I'm downloading like 2gb of files everyday too.

So you guys are suggesting to put our download files in HDD instead of SSD right? SSD just purely for OS and Temp files?

Yup SSD for only OS, temp files and important programs, but I'm not sure if this helps or not. In theoretically, reduce the write data into the ssd can prolong its life.

QUOTE(ErgoProxi @ Apr 30 2013, 11:15 PM) me 'bout 10gb per day of downloaded data( streaming & downloads) 10gb is really big lol, I guess my usage cant reach that high due to slow internet speed here. However, 2gb average is only my download client. Streaming and other temp download files like document are not counted.

I dun wan to plug-in my xternal HD 24/7. p/s; tried to set the directory of download to SDcard but it's damn slow ( when transferring from temp dir to SDcard). my lappy got SDcard slot.
