hi all, im new here, driving a 9yrs old kenari, wondering if we need to get the fuel filter located at our car? and issit require to replaced or only do it if it gone wrong?

not sure where it is, mine still haven't replace too.

afaik it should be changed at 100,000km.

fuel filter is placed INSIDE the fuel tank...meaning have to remove the tank n CUT it open...

my kenari I never bothered to change...if start giving problems then ill think about it

Please help me to detect what is the problem below:
kenari aerosport 2005 auto

1- when pressing remote, red light lights up, car cannot open/lock the door lock. Means no sound at all.

2- need to use key to open door, but once turn the key, only driver side door open, but not all doors open, need driver pull up the door lock 1 by 1.

3- when engage break, all doors cannot lock automatically.

4- when stop engine, all doors cannot open automatically.

later need to do top overhaul, change all belting, change all 4 absorber and tyres.
BTW, where can i find lining rubber for glass windows? mine rubber already harden and 'putus' already.

confirmed inside fuel tank? if yes then GG. i'm putting down my engine for major repair one two weeks later, thinking to change every possible things include fuel filter, i don't want to wait till something went wrong only i start to check or tow car.


did you change alarm before? if yes, look at the door lock solenoid (door gun they called) and center locking module; if no, change original alarm to aftermarket + center locking module, then check door lock solenoid.


changing oil seal will do, change head gasket unless you oepn up the engine head due to car had overheating before or you're doing a top overhaul.


opt for branded double din if possible for dvd, or look for android based double-din.

rm1.2k for engine mounting i assume it's original Daihatsu? if not then don't worth the price at all!

update on my car: dropping my engine for major engine repair before CNY, and also audio further upgrade everything gonna cost me nearly rm1.5k, all done by myself...

anyway... im looking to sell my 2001 kenari below the current 12-14k market price...need bigger car for family...car is all stock...and its a full spec from factory.

may not look the best, but mechanically perfect... I maintained it anally since my wife n son is in the car most of the time n dun wan them to get in trouble in the middle of the road...which has NEVER happened before coz I make sure everything is good...one reliable lil car
