Probably, note series always better spec than last Galaxy S series.

But note is for user that prefer bigger screen where phone + pad function.

Note is damn lagging for me, it hardware is better than S2 (off course nothing to compare with S3) but still cannot handle big screen resolution.

Note 2 not release yet, nothing to talk on that.

Of coz S3 is faster than GNote since quad cores vs dual cores.
If you want to buy Note then better wait for GNote2 that will be release Sept-Oct. It use the same quad cores like S3.
Both S3 and upcoming GNote2 will be using ICS out from the box. You can receive JB via FOTA or Kies for both phone :-P

better check anything running background as it drained 30% overnight. do you sync a lot? use betterbatterystat.. see what is creating the wakelock...

my phone already running 3 days 2 hours now and it still left 15% since full charged.. screen time is 4 hours.. so i consider it as very good already...

Those motion, I too love Smart Stay, and actually I am pretty bored on pure ICS/JB look as it is kind of too long in my S2 on that feel.

me also minimal usage.. normally only last 2.5 days or less.. but i don't sync and no weather widget...
