S3 Hall Of Dropper (drop their phone on the floor survivors):

QUOTE(YouDontKnowMyName @ Jul 20 2012, 07:25 PM)
Dropped my phone from waist height onto ceramic tile floor today cry.gif
Luckily nothing happened except a tiny scratch on my casing cry.gif
(glossy hard plastic casing)

QUOTE(eddydo @ Jul 20 2012, 07:29 PM)
Drop my phone today too, was sitting on the chair and the phone lying on my lap, then I turned my body, bang! Screen down drop first, flip case was open, so far nothing happened :l, rock flip case,
*
QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jul 18 2012, 04:38 PM)
I guess my rock case is enough for normal drops. I've thrown my phone onto the mattress only to have it bounce up and drop hard against the floor and wall a few times edi... shocking.gif

QUOTE(Silver Isle)
Ouch. My baby S3 had its first drop today from waist height, screen DOWN, with only ROCK Quicksand casing and Nillkin SP on. My heart broke into thousand pieces and I didn't dare to pick it up for a moment (was thinking, damn, cracked screen, damn, RM600, damn, should've bought the Melkco flip leather casing earlier, damn it's not gonna be the same anymore). But phew, thankfully x9999999999, not a single scratch observed so far...

XeactorZ - dropped his S3 so hard he was shocked till memory loss of when he dropped it
QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Aug 13 2012, 01:04 PM)
so mahal? i slipped my s3 w/o casing at toilet. should be around 1.5 mtr no scratch but SP peeled off 1% over the edge only. dropped screen hit the floor. damn scary i worried got inner part broken inside..
*
QUOTE(Kasumie @ Aug 13 2012, 07:31 PM)
I dropped my phone for the first time from a shelves at about the height of 1.5m. . But I don't see any scratches. .

Hey guys, I purchased the SGP Steinheil Curved Crystal for Galaxy S3 about a month ago from eBay and it finally arrived. rclxms.gif

I have previously purchased a Steinheil FlexHD but the 'orange peel' effect of it was bugging the hell out of me.
I was in dire need of a better SP rclxub.gif
...Which led me to the curved crystal biggrin.gif

What is included in the package brows.gif
They gave 2 pieces of the screen protector.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I applied it using the "hinge method" with a piece of cellophane tape.
Very quick and very easy. thumbup.gif
Just push out the bubbles using the included squeegee
(wrap the squeegee in the microfibre cloth to prevent scratching)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Spotted a tiny speck of dust under the SP, the dust removal stickers came in handy biggrin.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Overall, the application was very easy using the hinge method. Everything aligned perfectly and screen looks extremely clear as if nothing is on! flex.gif
There is very little 'wiggle room' for the SP. Everything is cut extremely precise, about 2mm of misalignment is enough to ruin it all up!
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

----------------------------------------

Word of advice :
1. DO NOT take off the front part of the protective film while pushing the bubbles out. It may scratch the screen protector! Only take the front part off until everything is done and applied properly smile.gif
2. Wrap the squeegee with the microfibre cloth to prevent scratching!

------------------------------------------

VERDICT :
The SP is very clear and smooth! It doesn't attract lots fingerprints or smudges easily.
Looks as if there's not even anything applied!
There are cut-outs for the earpiece, camera and home button. I really don't see why they couldn't cover the camera, but that's not a big deal for me anyway smile.gif

So far, there isn't any other screen protector that covers the entire front of the S3 other than the FlexHD, which I really dislike due to the side effects (orange peel effect).

---------------------------------------

PROS :
1. Crystal clear, clarity is amazing! (believe me, this one is a top priority for me)
2. No rainbow effect
3. Cut-outs are aligned perfectly
4. No other screen protector as good as this one
5. Does not attract much fingerprints/smudges (but is NOT 100% smudge-proof!)
6. Finger glides along the surface very smoothly
7. No bubbling around the edges whatsoever!
8. FlexHD sucks compared to this.

CONS :
1. Price may be a little bit steep for some (15USD), but keep in mind that 2 pieces of screen protector are provided!
2. (UPDATE!) The screen protector is easily 'dented' using your fingernails! Be careful not to poke the screen with the screen protector on. I regret lending my phone to my friend with long nails to use. Got many dents on the screen protector. It's due to the 2H hardness rating of the SP so most likely any other SP with similar hardness will be the same!

------------------------------------------

I HONESTLY WOULD RECOMMEND THE CURVED CRYSTAL to anyone looking for full front coverage for their S3.

BUY THE CURVED CRYSTAL INSTEAD OF THE FLEXHD

It is WORTH YOUR MONEY!! cool.gif

--------------------------------------------

UPDATE! After using it for a couple of weeks!
(SERIOUSLY THINK TWICE BECAUSE OF THE 2H RATING OF THE SP!)

[refer to CONS section]

Judging from the reviews that i've seen, nano optics seem to be the best at preventing fingerprints/smudges.

But the key difference between the Steinheil Ultra series and the Curved Crystal is that the Curved Crystal has full front coverage smile.gif

nice review of the SGP curve crystal SP. i"m still considering btw curve crystal or nano optics. currently i'm using a matte SP. it's good, no prob with fingerprint/smudges but clarity is really2 sucks to the max. Seem like the resolution isn't HD at all.
just wondering how about the clarity of nano optics. never seen the real one applied.

I would say the matte on the screen is not as blur as most other cheap matte SPs. Clarity is pretty good. 8/10 probably
