Today, i left my s3 charging a couples of hour, and i found the S3 is "dead", i did not switch it off when put it charging, just now when unplug the charger it was already off by it self, tried to press the power button for 10 second, the phone still dead, remove the battery a while and put it back, still 'dead' after i hold it again for 10 seonds,, Still no luck... now im so down,...thnking of how to  live without a n android for the next 3 holidays??? I personally really like the light blue colour on the rock case (look like plastic)
But at the same time, the materials used on the nillkin case looks more premium (looks like faux leather / real leather)

no problem with skype disconnecting even though i use whatsapp, watch youtube etc. i always need to manually disconnect skype on my own.

only that much... the launcher also keep on restarting... try to on a few then press home button... that time it will lag to go back to the home screen...
BTW i do not think is apps related problem... mostly is the samsung software engineering problem...
they kill running task too easily... that cause the phone to lag too, coz when u want to go back to home screen it needs to restart the launcher again...

I noticed that at NO APPLICATIONS running scenario, the RAM usage is already 608MB/779MB. Is this normal? Should I clear the RAM?

after selecting vibrate or mute, ringtones will still sound. need to reduce the volume manually in order for it go completely silent

i duno about calls. but when there's message it will sound.

i think the prob is that when choosing vibrate/mute, ringtone (calls) is indeed muted

but notifications are not muted, so when messages come it will still sound

i'm not using any special tools to kill task but after i use the stock task manager to kill tasks the memory still hovering around 630MB...
