I guess many recruitment exercises have been frozen due to the current situation. My friend have been waiting for almost 2 months since the receipt of SRD notification email.

Yeah, I'm scheduled for SRD on 12th Feb 2015.

Yes I received an invitation for SRD on Jan 7. I'm scheduled for Feb 12.

Just so that some of you have an idea for the timeline:

June 30, 2014 - Job Submission Date
June 30, 2014 - Online Assessment Part One
July 7, 2014 - Online Assessment Part Two
July 14, 2014 - Invitation for Interview
Sept 3, 2014 - Face to Face Interview (Cyberjaya)
Sept 4, 2014 - F2F Interview Result
Jan 7, 2015 - Invitation for SRD
Feb 12, 2015 - Shell Recruitment Day

Those of you who are waiting, it takes some time (6 months for me). Cheer up and good luck!

Is there anyone that are being invited for the interview day on 29 January ?

Its better for you to apply for another job while waiting for the interview. On the other hand, even if the interview is taking place on the following week, the SRD might not be as soon as you thought which you might be waiting for another month or so.

It's a lengthy process and what i personally suggest is to get the offer from another job first, most company gives probation period and its good for your case whereby short notice is available.

Hmm... I'm helping my family out atm... And kinda like 'lazing around' and the freedom haha... Cause based on my experience in corporate before, I didn't even have the time to see family and friends outside work during the weekdays... Sometimes on the weekend... And then everyone has their own family stuff too... (OK am starting to sound like Peterpan haha...) That's why I initially didn't mind if I had to 'wait' for Shell... And start finding other job only when I'm rejected.. Haha
and one more thing, in the industry I used to work for, probation is like 1-2 months and then the notice period is like 3 months...

Btw, anyone called for interview with Shell as of late please do share here...

relocation allowance does not apply for your first posting. only apply if they send you to somewhere else from after you start work

Failed the interview..haha..damn, sadness overwhelm..i should I have asked whether the current oil price will affect the recruitment..but seeing people still have interview and SRD on Feb, maybe I'm just not what they want..

Shell is going through some changes at the moment so things might take longer than usual. I know they're still recruiting though, especially for technical roles. There should also be roles in the global function team (i.e., finance). So there's no harm in applying.

I also know for a fact. That relocation allowance is RM25,000. So there isn't really a point in arguing about that.

I understand you have your SRD tomorrow. I am wondering if you could share your detailed step-by-step experience of each activity during the day after tomorrow please? That would be a great help as I have mine next week which I need to do some more prep for.

Could you please answer:

- What is the case study on and what is asked for the presentation (i.e. short med long term plans regarding buying oil fields which have issues with flaring etc?
- What is the video on within the group discussion and what was the topic in discussion (i.e. you are part of a commity for social investment or choose to invest in 1 business, what do you have to write or answer)?
- How does the interview differ from the phone interview for competancy?
- What specific questions were asked in self reflection (was this just on the etray or what is with reference to the group task too?)
- What was the information in the email from the supervisor as part of the etray, how is best to set this email response out?
- How many questions are in e-tray?
- What duration for each exercise?


It would be great if you could be detailed as most people when the share knowledge are quite vague or are happy to receive advise but not give - I will share my experience for SRD.

Also how did yours go? feeling confident?
