All the best julia. I have yet to get the interview time set yet for me. I got shortlisted since 30th of march. But till now no interview date/time has been set yet. Dont know how long more i will have to wait. Shell did sent me an email saying that there might be a delay cos there are too many applicants

guys, i got a phone interview coming up next week, so far what i know is that the rough structure of the interview will be:

1. Self introduction, background
2. Talk about your biggest accomplishments, biggest problems you ever faced and how you solved them
3. Choose a topic and talk about it

Any other tips guys?

It's understandable that you got defensive. Saying their recruitment sucks is basically questioning about your calibre as you are/ were one of their picks tongue.gif Anyway, can you deny that the confidence and quality of new fresh hires have not been on the par with.. lets say those hired many years ago?
flamingtorch (no offence, bro) is a reference as he is among one of the latest hires  brows.gif

I get you, srsly i think the current SRD format is still very subjective and depends on luck. Last but not least always remember that YOU have to be what the assessor wants, cos most of the time the assessor wants a certain type of people to fill up a certain position as they see fit. Remember that they have the right to choose, they are also following guidelines and procedures while accessing. Btw, what was the feedback that they gave to you? If you did not live up to CART expectations, then you are not selected. Simple as that.

CART,
C-Capacity,
A-Achievement,
R-Relationship,
T-Technical,

SRD, isnt all that difficult, if you got it, you will easily pass. If they feel that you do not have what it takes, you will not be given an offer, thats all. It all depends on your capability as an individual.

Has anyone seen the new Menara Shell at KL central? How is it? I think the Lutong office really need a major upgrade, cos it kinda looks outdated with the traditional longhouse design haha

guys, dont be too excited to be hired with Shell.. you are only hired as a graduate, but that dosent mean you will have a job even after you are done with the Graduate programme. its not a firm job and the term "last in first out" applies here too.. if i were you guys, i would avoid joining ONG now. good luck.

I wonder of Shell Graduate Program is still worthwhile to venture into at this time given the volatility of the industry. I do know of people who graduated from the program and they are doing very well for themselves. Shell is now the 3rd preferred employer for Malaysians based on jobstreet survey :

I suppose it is moving towards becoming a more resilient company that will continue to appeal to employee.

what i can say is that it is just not used to be as appealing compared to the USD120 days. there are other employers that you can choose from instead of just narrowly looking at joining ONG. Truthfully, ONG industry is a 20th century industry, about to be overtaken by renewable in the very soon future. If you are a fresh grad, look elsewhere to start your careers instead of ONG for a brighter future.
