I am a proud user here lol. reliable? i been pushing it to the max while playing bf3 so yeah pretty reliable i would say. Only the TOP version had issues when it was released but now everything is settled with a bios update. As for NON TOP version, no issues from the day it released till today.

OC headroom is too big i would say...i overclock mine to the max & performance is on par with STOCK gtx 680. MSI PE is also quite good...if overclock that its 3-4fps better than asus. Gigabyte also not bad...but in the end it comes to personal preference. 3-4 fps wont show much difference, but reason why i went for asus is because it matches my ROG colour scheme + comes with a backplate. blush.gif

I heard someone got for rm1300 at viewnet....so should be somewhere around there lor...

Yup, i also didn't know about that at first. But the bling-bling consider very "mild" only la. You can see this photo. For the OC, hard to say for certain. In Techpowerup, they coudn't push the PE that far. Turned out the Palit has the highest overclock. biggrin.gif But Guru3D is able to get about 1120 MHz (boost to 1300MHz), so i guess it also depends on luck and how overclockable the GPU is. laugh.gif

PM them for the best price. brows.gif But know that PE is among one of the more expensive 670s around.

Just use that as a guideline only, 700W is sufficient for your needs.
*
yeah, both 670 and 660ti PE on techpowerup had really bad OC performance, but the lightning 680 was the best!!
hmm, guess its still luck and not confirmed to OC well. Yours considered awesome ready since ppl that OC their card manually normally aim for 1300, imagine if u try to OC manually!! drool.gif

none,

Either you buy multiple monitor or upgrade ssd
its better performance there
if you have already LGA1155 Intel i5 and GTX670

+1. But I don't think he will neither buy multiple monitor or upgrade ssd for gaming purpose cause.

1) Most of us don't prefer to do gaming on multiple monitor due to the monitor panel, like me laugh.gif

2) SSD won't make so huge performance on gaming wise, even loading its just around less than 5 seconds improvement. But then its good for those database gaming like Football Manager, or he's a speed demand freak tongue.gif

Nonetheless, I would recommend him just like your said, saving the money at the moment. If he's really into the gaming, i think every year he will need to change his graphic card. XD

can anyone explain what is the meaning of "In addition, the beta driver provides fixes for where some manufacturer’s factory overclocked cards default to and run at lower clocks" icon_question.gif

i can brain it...does that mean the card running at 915mhz(standard reference clock) sweat.gif
