QUOTE(darkangel7 @ Aug 16 2012, 09:10 AM) yeah.. I agree.. you're never anonymous on forums... and now with the new evidence act Section 114A, the forum owners are going to hand over what information they have on you should "the others" come knocking on their doors.. I thought I heard the act has been cancelled from BFM due to overwhelming negative response?![]() Image courtesy of PaulTan.org |

QUOTE(ericling @ Aug 16 2012, 02:04 PM) Is it true that Maxis throttle the internet speed? Based on your usage, you would be happy to use Maxis Home Fibre 10MbpsI am still waiting for installation. I will be using Maxis to stream live football matches, download mediafire etc and browsing pages. Will Maxis throttle those usage? Mediafire downloads are really fast. Streaming Youtube at 480p or 720p should be OK |

QUOTE(fadzly @ Aug 16 2012, 03:48 PM) correct me if im wrong, the 10mpbs thing is not referring for providing u a 10mpbs on viewing a youtube file. Is more like u having 3 pc sharing the same connection, those 3 pcs can view the youtube simultaneously at the server D/L speed. Even doing some torrenting behind also will not affected much. My opinion is, 10mpbs connection can support many pc at once for great browsing experience. i believe malaysia undersea cable latency still capped at 1.2mb/s Im torrenting with 2 pcs at once which still able reached 1.0mbs each for healthy seeds just my 2 cents. |

and latency and speed is 2 different things.. latency is the major problem faced by maxis home user.. its affecting online gaming.. downloading is the other thing.. if our cable can only accept 1.2MB/secs, then hows higher speed then.. what i noted from the TM unifi contractor, the fibre itself could actually serve 1000mbps... look at singapore.. they are now offering 100mbps!

Can anyone teach me how do I block a specific device from connecting to the router? I clicked into the settings, and I want to untick the "Allowed on WLAN" but couldn't untick. No respond.
