By the way, anyone can confirm dial 1800 toll free from the maxis home fibre phone is it really free? Dial 1800 from Maxis mobile need to pay some fee.

Just configured public IP. The person didn't tell me how long will take effect, but right after they guided me on changing the account thing, I reset my router all, then tried port forward and open port 80, and it works, and my IP also change to 121.121.xxx.xx
Tried torrenting but max speed 1MB xD Tomorrow try. I really would have a jump of joy if I got 2MB or 2.5MB/s like u said !:P

May i know how do i verify whether i am using Public IP now?

Any1 know how to differentiate ?

wondering if change to Public IP the speed will get faster? coz originally, i download is can reach to 5M smth... so i wonder if i change to public then can it reach more than 5mb as well ? however i still required to confirm the question above then only decide to do so

Should I let go Unifi and move to maxis since my contract is ending soon.

I am not gamer and my daily use of Internet included VPN back to office (I am full time working from home), browsing, YouTube, PPS streaming, torrent and http download.

@philipcs, its ok if you're not gaming. but i'm not experienced with VPN maybe wait for other forummers to answer you regarding VPN performance.

How did you get such high speed? I'm finally on Public IP but still the same as before, torrent always at 1.0MB/s or 1.1MB/s.
Never gotten anything higher than that. Did the sudden increase in speed occur right after you got your public IP?

i use wired also hit to 5MB sometime.. but no idea about VPN things..coz i did nothing on the public IP or VPN..

VPN is fine. No issues.

but one thing i wanna to emphasized which is ... i did not download using torrent or bitcomet ... i just using fenghang software to download.... dont know izzit becoz it block on application itself at the back end? .

Wow 5MB? That's like 50mbps when we're only on 10mb. whaaat.

Yes I'm using wired , I did post my speed pic download dirt 3 prevly in here u may refer , but so far I do not have such problem like other forumers claimed , I even don't switched off my router don't know how many month d, maybe I not a hardcore user but my download quota ussualy 30-60gb per month

Thanks for your confirmation. Regarding the VPN connection, I have asked my colleague who are also using Maxis home fibre, it works great too
