my torrent seem to be o.k... 700++kb for 1 file. But i'm having problem to direct d/l from all major uploading site with premium account. especially those file size more than 500MB. everytime stop halfway. almost 2weeks having this problem. I thought it's IDM software problem, but i bring laptop to office using unifi all smooth smooth finish download. This post has been edited by erichhl: Oct 18 2012, 05:39 PM

Why don't use direct premium download accounts ... consistently achieve 1.0~1.2MB/sec

Torrent they selectively block certain IPs. Torrenting linux iso is fine, but not TPB stuffs.
Today I noticed they throttled my apt update sites. Takes years to update my repositories. :S

Need to get some feedback... I'm shifting to a new place and since my current contract with Unifi (20Mbps) was already over since last July, I'm tempted to switch to Maxis. More so with the new offer that Maxis is offerring. Is it a wise move? Keep hearing connection problems with Maxis. I have nothing but pleasant experience with Unifi. No broken connections or throttled downloads from what I can see.
I save RM 300 required to move my Unifi connection from current to new place. Don't watch the HyppTV and therefore won't miss a thing if I go with Maxis. I will pay RM 51 less every month for the same speed as I have now with Unifi. Alternatively, I can have faster 30Mbps speed at RM 1 less every month than what I'm currently paying.
I don't game and I don't torrent but I download movies heavily. I download using paid premium accounts. Thanks.
