I am moving to a new apartment next month and am wondering about getting Maxis fiber. We are currently on Unifi VIP 10 and have no issues, but Maxis being RM60 cheaper a month is tempting.

How is Maxis for speed and latency, particularly to the US and Europe compared to Unifi? Particularly for FPS and MMO games.

been connected to public ip without DC FOR A MONTH now its my first

btw for gaming you need to request public ip
because after i change to public ip my game ping seem normal
only slightly high around 20ms different than unifi user
my friend using unifi he got 30ms in game so i will get around 50ms

pc im also fps freak
play BF3 , COD
BF3 on public ip solved the ping issue and mw3 no more nat issue

Get your valid and general complaint like wifi signal, which i'm really having my CCTV connection issue after i switch it to Maxis from Streamyx.

First i ask for solution/complaint thru call up to Maxis customer service, they will ask the technician to assist. Get the REPORT number, must. As usual, you will need to wait for the Technician to call you... usually they will be late.

Later they call, i did all the channel 1-13 setting and it still weak. So i ask for new router replacement - They agreed.

You know what.. the day when the technician came and they actually replace me the freaking same model which WIFI signal still tested as WEAK (Make sure they reported this in the paper).

Then i go to Mylaunchpad Chat section, asking about how Maxis existing Router model. They confirmed, it was two model - 784n & 799n. Good...  Then is time to make another complaint in Maxis Fibre forum - Create my own Subject (don't tag along other complaint - your voice won't heard).

Saying that Maxis is wasting my time and why still giving lousy router and problem not solve...bla.bla.bla... i don't want to that any more, since there is 2 model and i DEMAND for 799vn replacement for the third unit. They actually didn't say anything about 799n is for 30MB package. Same thing happen when i ask them in Mylaunchpad Chat.

After complaint in Maxis forum, i got the report number then i call Maxis for similar complaint and giving the report number. I ask them not to waste my time and your time, i don't want the same useless model and i Demand for 799n since 784n have lots of complaint as they can refer to Maxis Forum.

At the same day, they call and agreed to replace my 784 with 799.

I guess the wifi weak signal is something they can't control and they knew, and is a good reason to point it out loud.

Oh, and another thing is i kept pointing that my previous TM 1mb streamyx are working fine even is slow but connected 24/7 with my CCTV plus is at the same freaking location and don't ask me to move the router nearer, i already living in a small house.

hai...brother..how u get the port forwarding?i am using that Thomson TG784n...wifi signal fukcing weak...and i need the prot forwarding to setup my cctv dvr...setting few time but still cannot get...i help people stting on unifi modem..1 short can done..this i try util 1hole week..still cannot..

same I scolded maxis guy,he told me that no more supply tg799 anymore /no another model by maxis , i said my friends also get the 799 why no supply !!!

Samore said 799 now all refurbish set no new wan,and tg 784v n3 not yet out wo.i though I am stupid  told him I don't care just change for me.....

I'm staying in Apartment.

TM and Maxis guy told me I have to terminated my exiting DSL service (streamyx) because .. outside connection is fiber optic but have to use exiting copper line for internal.. (Apartment/Condo)

My installation appointment will be 23th Oct.

Any of you using the same method? I mean mix with exiting copper with fiber optic .. how is the speed and performance ? 

I'm having same setup, speed test reached 10mb+- download... The higher level you stay the higher Ping you get.

My block got 11th floor .. I'm staying at 1st floor .. meaning speed will be much slower than others ?

just saw my customer got 784nv3.. not sure if it is any better than 784n..
