Hehe, i just wonder if i do something like this will help my GC cool down?
Sometime i turn on my pc and running game, and if i alt-tab out of the game window, my gc fan will turn 50% fan speed and not full speed, is it mean that the GC didn't run so much if i alt-tab out of the game window?

Because i feel my gf pc quite hot when turn on with game and just leave it there.

You could always use 3rd party software such as ATI Tool to control the fan speed according to gc temperature...

Em that is ATI GC but no temp detector, is redeon 9550, if use ATI tool is it can control fan speed?

bypass the fan cable into external fan controller for best result ...performance VS quite

How bout the alt+tab out of the game window, is it the GC still running hard after alt+tab or it didn't run so hard unless u go back that game display.

Basically if u exit from the game it should run on 2D mode which would lower down the core and mem speed..

however such implementation only apply for higher end graphic card ..

so in ur case 9550 .... I think u just need a simple 3rd party solution ..

besides if not mistaken the card won't run too hot during gaming .

This worked for 6600gt. I used rivatuner, and made it so that 2D mode core 300. 3D mode will ramp up to 550. But now my 8600GT UE, the speeds are the same whether its 2D or 3D mode. So i'm not quite sure how to make now. Haha

I went back to re-read the article. I understand what he's doing now.
Since I'm using 163 drivers which arent supported by rivatuner 2.02, I'll do the trick next time. What I will do is underclock it during 2D modes, then set the speeds back to normal when in 3D mode.

go for AC for extreme quiet setup while Zalman for peformance ..

look for Accelero S2 if u could get one ... it performce well at the given price ..

9550 doesnt have temp monitor.

o if u wanna check temps ur gonna need an external temp monitor.

need 2 replace a cooling system ..

did the coolviva fit to my vga card ?

You could try search around LYP, there's some VGA cooler replacement that might fit ur card ///
