Hi all, 08 Vios S spec reported in biggrin.gif
Any sifu(s) can enlighten me? Previous time, been using Chemlube full syn 10w/30 all the way. This few services change to Torco SR1. Used 5w/30 for the 1st time and problem came on 2nd time, TER-used 5w/40 doh.gif . Just wonder can use back 5w/30 cos few of my friends mentioned "old" car better use 5w/40 instead of 5w/30 due to better protection (more thick). But i miss the 5w/30 pedal feel. light light brows.gif Please advise.

Collected my car finally. Found out the driving the car actually feels more "solid" compared to the previous generation.

Am going to tint and coat the car. Any recommendation where to go?

hai all, lepas sambar sportrim 16 tayar 205/45,maby change to 225/45,Spring sport Apm(BANYAK BUMPY la..haiyaaaa)..bodykit trdsportivo material Abs,pasang brake lock geneo (double lock), Voltage stabilizer +grounding kabel 5 point, rasanya lepas ni nak sambar strut bar(front) ngan lower am bar la... ok ke? minta pandangan kawan kawan semua, saya lebih pentingkan cornering agar kereta tidak berpusing masa ambik corner dalam 160 km sejam. hehehehee..tq. saya pengguna vios j 2009, baru nak mod sikit, lepas 2 tahun guna standard je. berminat juga nak guna air filter yang open pod tu.. hehehe..tq all..

Bro, mind if I asked...ur meaning of "solid" is in terms of less noise/harshness of the car OR the stability of the car when cornering? Coz I certainly feel there's just too much body roll in this new gen vios sad.gif

if you put bars also, you won't be able to corner at that speed, maybe need to change to another set of harder suspension

i have front and rear upper strut, front and rear lower arm bars and 16mm ARB, the car is a lot more solid... long sweeping corners at 100km/h is quite stable, for me it's just nice for highway cruising as well... spend on the rear ARB... it's well worth the money... other bars are just to improve chassis rigidness
more read up here if you are interested in improving handling

thought of changing suspension but after i sat on my cousin's Jazz, i say forget it cos too bumpy doh.gif
but that Jazz making 90 degree corners at 60km/h also no problem drool.gif

Hi guys,

Just collected my Vios a few days ago and noticed that the auto lock was removed as mentioned. Just wondering if anybody knows of any aftermarket device which could be installed to enable the auto lock which does not involve any modifications to the current wiring system?

Thanks in advance
Edward

In terms of the built. It does not feel as "light" as the previous generation. Does not know about the handling as I do not drive with high speed. For me, it is alright, at least for now.

Hmm, didn't realize that. Is that removed on all vios? What was the reason?

Apparently it is a new govt directive that all auto lock features would have to be removed for safety reasons during accident.
