I don't know how water can go in.. I even added hot glue around it biggrin.gif

P.S. I think it's major change for Vios J ni ..

*
Its different compared to last year's Vios I bought on late March..
1)15" Alloy rims ---> 14" Steel rims
2) The grills are different too, but I prefer mine icon_idea.gif
I gotta say I hated my steel rim so much, so ugly vmad.gif my next mod will be sport rims, since tire is wearing off soon
so what modification are you planning to do on your Miss Vios? we-the DIYs people won't mind to share our experience icon_idea.gif

J spec and E spec are paint only while G spec has chrome lining..
You can DIY with matt stick like me brows.gif
OR you may find aftermarket/original bar for sale around.. Lowyat forum has it, I remembered trying to search them..

*
I haven't felt it float just yet.. Bought on March 2012 Vios J spec with GT Street bodykit and TRD spoiler, 14 inch stock steel rim.. Tried reaching 160 and still OK..

Thanks, i checked with the nearby accessory shop, cost around eighty something (none-original) Does original or none original matter ?

Besides, when i reverse out from my car poach ( a slope ) there is a very loud sound heard when ever i brake... is it normal ?

Talking about sound proof, i am quite satisfy with the sound prof at least i don't hear much engine sound compare to my previous car (Toyota Unser) but the only thing which keep me bother is the tire sound. Is it anyway to reduce the sound ?

Thanks
*
I wouldn't wanna spend RM80 just for a chrome lining, but that's your choice of buying biggrin.gif
Anyhow its just a bar on top of number plate, so whatever material it is made of, as long as its 100% fitting then you can get it, it brings 0 function to your car, just decorations only..

Can you define what kind of sound is that?

As for sound proof, I find it not very good on my J spec, I'm planning to add the front and rear bonnet custom coil mat (forgotten what is it called).. I heard lots of noise during 4 hours trip back to my hometown.. As for tires, look into tire talks in LYN, you will find your answer there

Hi Vios owners,

anyone here has change the stock headlamp to projector style like me?

user posted image

I've change the low beam to 6000K Osram HID, but somehow I find that it is not bright enough compared to my 4300K HID fog lamp.
I know 4300K will be brighter due to color closer to yellow, but let's not talk about the color, I do find my projector 6000K low beam to be very dim. Besides that, whenever I turn on low beam, there is obvious noise on my radio.
Could it be not enough voltage and hence it causes my light to be dim and noise appear from radio? If yes, any way to overcome this issue?

Hi all... I own Vios '09 and i'm a newbie here. Just trying my luck, does anyone know where to find Toyota genuine spare part shop within KL or PJ? I'm sure if we order parts from SC they will mark up the price kaw-kaw. So im thinking to buy the parts by myself and bring it to SC... pay labour fee only. Thx.
*
what you're trying to get? Or should I say what specific spare parts you're looking for?

At the moment i only need plastic cover above the wheel (fender). SC gave me quotation of RM300+ including the screws  rclxub.gif
I think that's too expensive. We never know what parts we will need in near future. So before unwanted situation happens, i want to know where i can get genuine parts other than getting from SC.
*
if you need any stuffs, feel free to ask around here, sometimes getting it from none original is much more worth it..
BTW, I've never seen a fender you mentioned? Can you provide me a pic? I'm keen to add on a fender too, tried searching around and couldn't find any, I'm ready to do custom wheel arc and wide body soon..

Any good stuff or DIY guide or shops to recommend ?  biggrin.gif

almost everything of my car is DIY.. do you have any LED installed on your car already? Like interiors or exterior? If yes you have a good chance to DIY as you don't need to pull the wires yourself, just parellel with it and share the current

Wow... U're the man...  thumbup.gif
haha... sadly i dun hav any LED installed in my car yet... i guess i jz send for workmanship...  blush.gif
*
here's an idea before you go to any shops, request them to make a switch (definitely drilling a hole inside your car) and connect to whatever you want to install (DRL, interior LEDs, exterior LEDs), just do one item, don't do all at once..
after that, you can start to DIY flex.gif buy whatever item you want, connect to the same wire, twist them together and tape them with black tape rclxms.gif
assuming you want to install DRL now, ask them to install DRL ONLY, and if you don't want it to be controlled by a switch, go back home and jump the wire from DRL direct to any source they take from.. as for the switch, depends on what item you want, I use it for interior LEDs..
Feel free to ask me if you need help drool.gif

There's a lot of body kits around, one of the most common is TRD Sportivo..
Else, you can look for C-one front bumper, Galaxy X full body kit, GT street (from Thailand), SRV (from Thailand), Viper / VPX, RTX and RTX VIP look..
rclxms.gif too many eh? Haha, take your time to look for it.. or you can drive up to Thailand and I got a few unique body kit to intro you rclxms.gif

Sorry for a stupid question, original toyota bodykit is using ABS or PU ?

I am unsure of their locations yet because I don't know how to read Thai tongue.gif
But I do found a lot of custom shops and get to know a few Thailand people who knows how to speak English, I talked to them by email
