no problem.

Im the thread starter.

I live very close to the border.

Stayed the ship before. it's a brand new 3 months-old hotel.

So it's very worth it. Unlike old hotel, where you could see the furniture fittings and toilet bowl and amenities are old and dirty.

Jaguar Pub at KPK is not bad too.

Brand new pub. Very cozy sofa upstairs.

Just came back from a short trips with buddies, went to Love me and V8 and the crowd and music is better at the latter. Jaguar is nice too and recommended to chill out.

Cant help but notice that the crowd is not as much as before the pineapple exploded.

visited Danok for my first time during Songkran fest.
stayed at KPK resort. very nice place and considered new.
took a suite costing around RM400. very comfy.
what we did there: eat, eat, eat, drink, drink, drink, play water, party, play water again, party. LOL!!

second trip, recently 2 weeks ago.
stayed KPK resort again, but this time took deluxe room. around RM120. very huge room and spacious. seems that Dannok is a quiet town if no events or festivals going on. a new club just open at the hotel there, First Club. very nice n up to standard. would rate it above par than Hello BKK and the others. did a trip to Hatyai as well, go pray pray and dropby the shopping mall there (can't recall the name, is it Festival Mall or Carnival Mall?) LOL!!! seems that mall very up also. many branded stuffs and high end too.
oh ya, that time the club closes early when i was there. around 12.30am close dy but the new club at KPK resort (First club) closes late at 3.30am.

nexty trip, would maybe stay The Ship cos convenient as everything is accessible walking distance. if stay KPK have to take motor. but i like KPK cos got swimming pool. =D

for me still the ship lo

btw, i heard that these days the immigration at thai part is getting stricter

i heard rumors that now using border pass is slower than passport due to now they need key in all those information at the border pass (no more blindly chop at it without reading)

also , driving in is getting more complicated now, is it true?

CAUTIOUS! ALL CARS MUST DECLARE AND DO A VEHICLE IMPORT PERMIT BEFORE HEADING IN TO THAILAND.
IT IS A MUST NOW!! IF YOU ARE DRIVING INTO DANOK, SADAO, HATYAI, PLEASE DECLARE ELSE YOU WOULD BE FINE IF FOUND OUT. MAX. FINE RM30K. (A SINGAPOREAN WITH SINGAPORE CARS ALREADY KENA)

Entering Thai, you need to get a temporary car import permit. The form must be returned upon exit.
