Not sure thats good news for me or not. lol You should probably test out the keys first, to be on the safe side.Red switches are very comfortable to press, but sometimes too soft until you don't feel like you are typing on a mechanical keyboard. Brown is quite similar to red but there is a tactile feeling there. A 'click' feel when you press each key, at least it feels better. Based on my past experience. Then again, these are all based on personal opinions. Some like the red switch, some like brown. I like both actually, but i favor more to brown, as my current switch as well |

Yea, I read about the reviews on which switch is better, but then again same answer as you - purely on personal liking. But since it will be my first mech kb, so I really not sure which one will suit me - can't try it out coz at my place here, you tell them Ducky Shinging, they will ask you, whats that? Shining duck? Go to the store and test them, or ask someone in here, i remember there's a guy in here that would send you all the switches for you to test but you have to pay the shipping fee. it's just a numpad with different switches. If you have a tight budget, and you dont even know which switch you like, I would suggest you to do more research first. This post has been edited by kyrmian: Sep 2 2012, 10:13 PM |

I remember paying RM470 for the Red Switch, now it's much cheaper Added on September 2, 2012, 10:05 pm Yea, I read about the reviews on which switch is better, but then again same answer as you - purely on personal liking. Well, I did do my research, but mostly only by reading reviews on the web, I dont have any chance to try out the kb, the only one I can try here is the Razer BWU - blue switch. I kinda like the tick tack feel (tactile?) when I press it, but then again, a lot people seems to be very anti-razer? Added on September 2, 2012, 10:26 pm QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 2 2012, 10:08 PM) Lol. BWU are blue switches, they are good for typing, but if you're beside me playing games while using blue switch, I might slap my keyboard at your face. People hate on Razer because of their quality issue, they have a long term history of bad quality control. Conclusion, blue switch is annoying as hell, are you gonna play games at night or anything? Try to find the fella here, he has a numpad of switches and pay for the shipping, and he will ship the numpad to you. Test everything out and see which one you like, don't get a mechanical keyboard just for the sake of luxurious, pick the switch you like the most importantly. If you like tactile feeling, best I can recommend is brown switches. |
