Ya. The feel of the wood is good. I purposely choose hard wood with smooth surface. Tiger Birch is this type of wood.
Rest help me to reach the top row of key more easy. I can type more comfortable compare to no rest. But that is for me, some other may dont like rest.

My one are made of Teakwood, I make it myself, with high polish.
I found a piece of teak wood that tear out from a broken old furniture,
I carved a side of it rounded, and slanting a bit to the rounded side.
not quite suit me, my table are a bit too small to place it alongside with my HHKB,
and my brother he is using his bluetooth Mac keyboard, so there is less space.

To those who want to order any wood rest or bamboo rest. Do make sure the bottom of the rest had rubber feets or anti slip material. If not the rest will slip and U had to adjust often. Not good at all.
Mine custom rest came with 4 rubber feets. Need to put.

Hmm, been reading through the first 7 pages but no one seems to mention about Razer Blackwidow ultimate? I needed to read some opinions since I'll probably be getting it soon, and it's my first time getting a mechanical keyboard. sweat.gif any feedback on this? It will be very much appreciated notworthy.gif

In fact, I'll be meeting up this guy that is selling off his 1 month old BWU Mass Effect 3 edition for RM320. Anything I should know about this kb? Or is there any better choice at that price range? hmm.gif

Most of us are avoiding Razer because of their QC issue... You might also want to try out the other type of switches because BlackWidow only uses Cherry MX Blue switch...

many beginner sought the same answer as yours.

try to find more information and guides regarding mechanical keyboards. lurk around mechanical keyboard forums (geekhack, deskthority)

for me I'd pump my budget and go for Filco, Ducky or other reliable boards.

anyhow, since, you're meeting up with the seller, better check all the keys is working well.

Can consider CM Rapid Fire. look up on garage sales, RM2XX. But you'd prefer full size or 10keyless(no numpad)?

Then go for CM Quickfire Pro or Ducky Shine. Dunno wheather Storm88 still have promo. You might have to top up a little more, depend on what switch you choose.
