my Dopod 818 Pro - Flashed with WM6 - touch XI

i played my phone, and accidentally let it runs the battery till only left 7%, and keeps on restart, Auto-restart.

after around 10 minutes....it becoming white out....

5minutes b4, it prompt up to ask for sim password, then within minutes, becoming white colour...with unknown LINE...

now considering 818pro with atom black which one u all prewfer thanks first
coz 818 pro only have 200mhz cpu scare it will lag

i think, u people who bought used dopod 818 pro unit which r flashed with wm6 roms, facing with wifi, mms problems, r bcoz of the rom bugs... mebbe u shud try flashing original wm5 roms.... normal AKU 2.2 shud be ok.... try googling these roms... if still duznt work, probably its hardware malfunction....

wana ask sifus here.i'm using 818pro,with slow sd card,2gb which i bought rm50 last year.nw i felt access the software quite lag,especially when i'm using japanese dictionary.so,just wana know,if i change to a high speed sd card,will my dopod become faster?coz i cant take it anymore,thought about get nu dopod.

Higher speed card will not make your software to load faster. It only make you copy or move files faster. This is only my experience. Others might have different opinions.

im new to pda..and 818 is my first.
may i know how to use the touchflo function...

I'd suggest u go for d O2 Atom. Performance is significantly better.

The unit I had will kept restarting by itself (continuously) if battery level fall below 60%. Anyone of you guys' Dopod 818 Pro have the same problem? Will a new battery solve the problem?? It had been bugging me really.

i have a problem with my wifi connection... it stated " cannot connect for an unknown reason. to check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. if the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again."

i have reset it and still persist... anyone can help me please...

been use 818pro bout 6 month and bought it 2nd condition.....
well,i've been tried most of the ROM from XDA developer guy.....
now my latest OS are using WM6.1 TE.....for a week
working great, no major bug at all....juz minor bug

rom, any new programs? was it ok before? did you turn on the wlan radio etc etc.... is your laptop connecting ok to wifi?

how can we help with little info & just 'ohh i can't connect to my wifi, this is the error.....'

i have been thru all the settings, but still cannot... my lappie can connect, my other PDA can connect but this particular cannot... its running on WM5... rom not sure, will check later as the pda is not with me...

switch on the wifi, go to settings, check if there are things have been changed... nothing...

what is the current price (new set) for this Dopod 818 pro ? thinking to get one. any comment?

No more new set unless you are lucky enough to find some really old stock.

I think my Dopod 818 Pro has reception problems because in certain locations, my mobile phone shows good reception while the PDA cannot connect to similar service providers. Has anyone encountered similar problems? If there is something that needs to be repaired, can someone recommend a place where i can get it done for a reasonable price? Thank you.

You need to install the ActiveSync software that comes with the CD. If you dont have it though, i think you might be able to download the software from the Dopod homepage.
