u can get activesync from microsoft website. search there & download. if u have vista, seach for windows mobile device center.

hello guys. i need your help. i accidentally flash my ROM wrongly. maybe the ROM that i use is for different generation but after i flash the new ROM. my phone did not show the GSM after reboot and cannot get any signal for the phone. it also show charging LED even its not charging. now it become really slow. what should i do. thanks. im using wm5.

1. where did you get this rom? did you ask for help where u dload the rom?
2. what rom is it? wm5/6/6.1? how did you get back to wm5?
3. what is your 818pro, G3 or G4?

i do no know the genereation. btw. my isp=1.00 ipl=1.00.000 blank for ROM and OS is 1.0.13.21

yup can boot and enter to window but its kind of really lag and cannot get network signal after boot.

5. did you do hard reset after flashing rom?
i did the hard reset already. but still the same.

u did not upgrade the rom, only the radio rom from the link from xdadev. i assume u dload & installed radio rom 2.69, cos it's latest version? i'm using it ok, no problems since last year.

radio roms only upgrade the radio hence the name. try other lower value radio roms & see if reception is ok. trial & error with radio roms.

from your ipl, it is G3 device. radio rom upgrade doesn't take into account G3/G4, only full roms i.e if u upgrade to wm5 to wm6, it does take into account.

maybe it's about time u upgraded to wm6/6.1, faster than wm5 imho. read through new way of upgrading in xda dev. & choose a good new wm6.1 rom. \

okay. thanks. but it still now i cannot do anything because when it enter windows the activesync cannot be detected. is it because the phone is locked? i cannot get any signal using maxis or digi. cant try celcom cause i dont have 1. what should i do. can i change to wm6 without doing any other steps like sim unlock or CID unlock etc... this is my first time try to mod or upgrade my phone. I received the ERROR [264, 274] : CONNECTION. does this mean i nead to flash new ROM. some said i need to. what should i do and how to do it. thanks a lot for the replies.

ARghh my dopod just gone down.

I recall there's similiar case before, I plug in the handsfree and after I remove it, The dopod still in handsfree mode.

Now I'm force to use the handsfree. Motherboard spoiled already? Warranty over have to pay $$ already, sad.

Any idea how to fix it?

are u using vista or winxp? if xp, try dload new active sync from msoft. if vista, try using xp machine to do ALL upgrade process, vista cannot do upgrade.

from sound of it, i think u just need to change to another radio rom. as i said, go 1 step down, see if it helps. i heard version 2.19 is quite good, but i'm using 2.69 ok for past year.

fuhhh. at last. it works. thanks. i just flash another ROM. then all went okay. now IPL= 1.00 SPL 2.15 GSM 2.19.21 OS 2.15.13.21. tq wanwarlock. okay. i want to upgrade to wm6 lor. i like the touch 4.0.0.0.6. so, what i need to do. do i need to upgrade to wm6 then to touch or i can upgrade to touch straight away. what the most compatible wm6 now. thanks.
