To show only phone contacts and hide sim contacts, you'll have to modify your registries:
Registry: HKeyCurrentUser\ControlPanel\Phone Key: ShowSim (dWord) Value: 0 = hide Soft-reset [Note: 1 = show] To completely prevent ur device from connecting thru GPRS, modify the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Providers\ {7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections \IDEAS Internet (GPRS)\Enabled Edit the key 'Enabled' by double-tapping or otherwise. Change its DWORD Data from '1' to '0'. Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Providers\ {7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections \IDEAS WAP (GPRS)\Enabled Edit the key 'Enabled' by double-tapping or otherwise. Change its DWORD Data from '1' to '0'. Soft-reset. Caution: Carelessly modifying ur device may cause irreversible damage |

Download the free PHM Regedit and install. Make sure u download the CAB file and not the EXE file cos WM5 and above doesn't support installation of this software thru Activesync.
Download the CAB file, copy it to ur storage card and tap on it |

Hi Karhoe,
Mobile Registry Editor will not work with devices running WM5 and above. Instead, u'll have to use CeRegEditor. Editing registries through a PC is recommended as u'll feel more organised in a way. Don't need to fight for screen space |

In terms of speaker, I think the Atom is louder. But it's very subjective. Go down to a shop and ask them to compare for u. Maybe ur opinion may differ from mine.
But if I were u, I'd go for the Atom |

I think there is a limiter so even if u put full blast, technically it won't burst ur speakers so easily

That would depend on the version of outlook that ur using.
1. Outlook 2002 - Just go to "File" and switch accounts. Easy-peasy 2. Outlook 2003 and above - U'll need to create a new user account, log out from ur current account and log in to the other account then sync. Damn mah fan but that's the only way |

U must downgrade it to the version of WM5 provided in the package first temporarily first. The folder is called Prophet_PV_Temp.
Only then can u upgrade the ROM to WM6 |

Hi jnick,
when u switch ur wifi on, does the wifi logo come out? Have u tried a hard reset? Hi nles and ~\G.O.D/~, the source of ur problem is that ur version of CE Star has expired. Uninstall it and reinstall it again and register it this time. If even after uninstall, ur device is still as it is, then u've got no choice but to hard reset. Hi blade88, Log on to HTC website n download. |

The CD that came with the 818 pro does not comtain the Windows Mobile 5. The OS is preloaded in the phone and the manufacturers don't expect us to something to the extent that we need to reflash the original ROM back.
I think ur wifi antenna may be damaged. Have u checked ur wifi settings? Check the networks see can detect or not? |

can... sometimes when u overcharge / overclock / leave under hot sun; anything that can heat up d device, u risk frying something on the motherboard.
Well, I think it's time to take ur unit down to SIS for their fellas to take a look at. |

hmmm... it may all NOT be over yet. When u purchased ur Dopod 818 pro, did u register on the Dopod website? If u didn't then u may be in luck.
Unregistered devices' warranties start 3 months after they leave the factoy. So assuming that the lead time for the phone is 2 weeks and the shelf life is 1 week (as that time this model was still quite popular), that leaves an additional 2 and a half months' (give n take) warranty left. So if u go claim now, u may be in for a nice surprise! But don't get ur hopes up TOO high though. |

If u don't see the "send by bluetooth" option, just select "beam file".
After a few seconds, the list of bluetooth devices should start appearing. Make sure u have ur bluetooth on |
