Bro, mean only order this SONY CCD enough? need to drill hole or not?

I didn't fancy drilling a hole into the car. So I ordered mine through ebay. Any model also can. So long as it's large enough to cover the square hole which houses the license plate lamp. Preferable that it's using a Sony CCD chip.

nite time clear or not?thanks.

See the pics which I posted. Last picture taken outside the car. Almost pitch black. Only one lamp pole about 35 feet away. The picture in the HU is what you get. It sees well enough under low lighting conditions.

Me too. Seat's fabric seems not up to par. The less blinking bit should be due to your installing a VS.

Hard to imagine what it'll look like if that's a Wira.

On another note, I had my reverse camera fitted.

And now after they have adjusted it, it's not pushing upwards anymore but expanding/bulging slightly from the side.

Thanks. Does this mean the slight bulging in unavoidable? I guess I can live with that.

When you select reverse gear, it powers the camera and sends signal to the HU to switch input from camera.

Hi,

From the ebay link you gave, the wiring... I doubt your installer can use them straight off the bat right? They have to make modifications to the wiring I guess... what about the connector to the back of the HU?

So far, the reverse camera you have got there seems to be the best looking i.e. not protruding too much and seems like a "natural" fit, among those which I have seen so far.

Thank you for sharing.

I only DIY pasang the camera at the rear only. Had accessory shop do the wiring. Less stressful for me. Scared to dismantle dashboard and run the wire under the carpet.

Go to preveclub forum. There's a thread with pictures detailing how to DIY reverse camera.

Connectors to the HU isn't that hard.

1) Take an old cd-rom audio connector cable & remove pins from there.
2) Sambung to your camera's RCA connector. Can potong and solder.
3) Stick pins into HU's connector. (which is removable)

Uhm .. I replied you in post #442

1) I didnt drill hole. I attached by using 3M double sided tape (same type as for visor). Even if tape falls out, it won't drop out because license plate located underneath it, wont allow it to fall.

2) Night vision is quite good. No need extra lighting sources even when it's dark.

Think they gave me a special price for the camera wiring. Only 1xx. Best if you call up the owner Desmond to inquire @017-2823073. I went to KL Auto because I wanted to do autofoam and I heard good things about them. Autofoam wasn't cheap but the CVT's whine was annoying me.

Note:
You don't need to go to KL Auto just for the camera's wiring. Any reliable accessory shop will do. Or even Drex's EA Autoworks@Bkt Jalil. Bring along wiring diagram to be on the safe side. I chose KL Auto because I know they are professional & NOT the type who only know how to buka and tak tahu pasang balik. In the course of doing autofoam today, many of my panels got dismantled. After refitting back, I'm glad to report there's no annoying 'krek krek' sound from improper assembly.

Quoting Desmond the Poison King ..
QUOTE
Noise is sound. Sound is an energy which cannot be destroyed. Can only be redirected and converted. Whine won't be obliterated but it can be reduced to an acceptable level.

I originally went to KL Auto to fix the whine but he showed me a bigger & more annoying issue with Preve. There's a boominess within our cabins. Have you ever had trouble hearing what the rear passenger is saying?
