20-30% boost on the sound quality of my speaker(i change my speaker. not using the stock anymore). with the rubber sound proof i already reduce the outside noise. after add the soundproof mats. another 20-30% improve. less 10-20% tyres noise. engine might have a bit like 5% noise reduced.

now go over pot hole less noise too... thats my experience for now... i will condition to do the sound proofing from time to time until i am satisfy.. might not be as good as bimmer... but at least 80-90% similar.

where is  the wind come from? from door or small window? rubber problem?

Mine was detected at the exterior, there is a tiny gap between the joint at the top of the small window. I isolated this by sticking a little blue tack/play doh over the gap (on the exterior). Will know if they have sealed/solved this when I get my car back from COSE, hopefully today or tomorrow.

Sigh... just want to put this into writing somewhere... just plain frustrated with COSE...

sent in my car last Thursday 2-Aug at around 8am for the following reasons:
- repaint at spots where paint has chipped off at point of delivery, mainly bonnet.
- pointed out where to apply sealant to gaps at small windows at the rear doors
- to check driver back rest is making noise when lean against it
- to check rear suspension making noise when going over speed humps
- to perform 5k service

I know 6/8 was a public holiday for COSE too.

and till today, no one at COSE nor i.care can tell me the actual status...

is my expectation too high?

It's a great car but really being let down by poor after sales service...

COSE? Highly overrated.

Cose can touch up paint? I accidentally chipped a paint at my door.
*
yes they can and if I am not mistaken, they dont just touch up but will respray the whole door to ensure the colour is consistent throughout. If the chipped off is due to your own neglicence, then they will probably ask you to pay for it. Alternatively you might want to try this yourself http://www.ezytouchup.com/

As for mine, noticed the chipped paint when I took delivery of the car. Under normal circumstances, one would ask the Sales Advisor to get it sorted out first before taking over but because I wanted the car fast at that time, I decided to send it to the SC myself and this is how I ended up in this situation.... sigh

Just a quick update on my "ordeal" with COSE
Finally got my car back today.
1 - repaint is done. Was hoping the bonnet will have a clear surface but now noticed that there are swirl marks all over it. Guess they must have polished it the wrong way? Have to pull out Meguiar Swirl X again...
2 - cant really tell if they have applied any sealant (but they claimed they have) and did not have the road to test out for wind noise
3 - believe I can still hear it and I doubt the SA understood my complaint in the first place...
4 - no more noise from the rear suspension -> they said they have tighthen the suspension...
5 - 5k service done -> requested for 10w30

In addition to the above, they have also made adjustment to the driver's side power window panel, now no longer bulging upwards when glass reach the top but seems expanding side way.... anyone who has got their power window panel adjusted can confirm this? i.e. expanding side way.

And also the side mirrors are more in sync when folding/unfolding. Driver's side is still a tad slower than the left.

That's all.

Can explain this part a bit?

I tried to DIY fix mine. Opened the door's panel but couldn't figure out which part to bend. In the end, stuck the screwdriver in and bend here/there sikit-sikit. Pasang balik and spray silicone spray onto the rubbers. Now okay liao. Still bulges but no more sound when window going up/down.
*
Well before they adjusted it, whenever the glass reaches the top, the whole power window switch panel would be bulging slightly upwards. If you rest your arm on top of the panel, you will feel the panel is pushing upwards.

And now after they have adjusted it, it's not pushing upwards anymore but expanding/bulging slightly from the side.

When you select reverse gear, it powers the camera and sends signal to the HU to switch input from camera.

Hi,

From the ebay link you gave, the wiring... I doubt your installer can use them straight off the bat right? They have to make modifications to the wiring I guess... what about the connector to the back of the HU?

So far, the reverse camera you have got there seems to be the best looking i.e. not protruding too much and seems like a "natural" fit, among those which I have seen so far.

Thank you for sharing.

ooo, so they managed to fix it nice nice dy??..what was your previous problem??

mine is driver side window close and open time got sound,,sounds like rubbing against rubber and stuff, and another thing is the window switch panel will bulge up when the window is fully close
*
only the bulging up problem.

if I remember it correctly, at first the SA told me it is like that i.e. by default, but i told him i have heard that other SCs have managed to 'solved' by re-arranging the wiring etc inside the door panel, only then did he agreed to ask the technician to work on it.

You might want to check out this LYN seller, I think it's by far the lowest price around.

cant comment about the product though since I haven't got one from him yet.

Owners of CFE models,

(1) I want to find out from you that whenever you shift from "P" or "N" to "R", does your ride sort of rev twice gently? and that the RPM would drop around 100-200 when in "R".

(2) There were a few instances where I tested by shifting between "P" and "R" maybe 6 to 8 times consecutively and the engine actually cuts off by itself...

Don't think most of you have tried (2) but what about (1), did you notice anything?

Thank you.

Today the engine cut off again in the afternoon after engaging to "R".

- yesterday wrote to i.care regarding this and this morning a member of the team called me up to inform me that COSE is fully booked the following few days and suggest that perhaps I can just stick to the original appointment on 13-Sept, else I can try Glenmarie SC... also told me that it "shouldn't" be an issue with the "R" randomly acting up...

as what i can recalled during the earlier thread, the difference is the earlier alphabet character that diff between cfe & exec.. but note sure about the numbers...
try check batt terminal...
my boss PA is driving the exec ver got this kind of symptom also last time...
she called the nearby workshop and they say its the batt terminal loose...
reason being explained is that, any cars, when shift gear, engine got slight movement that "might" interfere with the batt connection, thus cause the car to loose power... (sorry ye, layman term, coz i also don't understand).. the mechanic said he had done to several preve already... all turn out OK after that... you might want to give it a try...
blink.gif

eh... how come i suddenly rajin reply in LYN...
must go back to BatCave and bertapa... let the preve owners / otais give their feedback pulak..

mrchinot, I think (and hope) you are right.

I checked and noticed I could easily lift up the black/negative terminal. It must be the time when I removed the VS which I had installed earlier and did a lousy job at putting back the battery terminals.

After tightening it and when shifting into R, the engine seems to sound better and no more jerking i.e. like the engine is getting cut off.

I will test it out further tomorrow and let you know the results.

Thanks!

Does anyone have problem with the air cond? My aircond works like normal but after 20 to 30 minutes drive, it doesnt function like u dont on ur aircond. Then i off and and on again, white smoke coming out of air cond vent  icon_question.gif
*
did you use internal or external air for circulation? the "white smoke" could be vapor when hot/humid air from outside mixed with the lower temperature air in your car cabin.

To use internal air for circulation for CFE model, press the right most knob (the temperature control knob), you should see an indicator light in red.

haish... mana ada bro... you look at my earlier post...
mostly talk kok only... nothing informative...
nothing to contribute oso coz i don't own a preve...

ah... nice to hear that bro...
to justify the remarks made by the mechanic, i did try on my ride and... yes... there are slight shift (forward and backward) when i shift gear... maybe that might have made the batt connector terkeluar like in your case...

but don't take my word entirely... if the mechanic con me, that mean i con you too... the other previan comments shouldn't be taken lightly as well, since they are sharing based on their experience... but like myself i don't like to jump to a bigger conclusion first (wishing nothing major went wrong with my ride)... i would try to test the minor2 one... if not resolved, then i would send to SC... anyway... do monitor and if there are improvement, do share your experience here as it would be an additional knowledge for other previan to look at when they have similar probs...

cheers! eh... almost 8.30am... breakfast time!

Latest update... car engine cut off twice when shifted into "R" since last posting. One time it sort of "shivered" for a split second before cut off while the other time it just cut off the moment I shifted into "R", just like that.

Bringing my fire red to SC next Thursday and see what they have to say this round...
