Added on September 13, 2012, 10:29 pmFulcrum zero comp limited or one Comp limited? Hmmm any comment about them? Plan to use as weekend racer tire while i retain my stock wheel as traning wheel.

My weight is 53kg if weight is a factor. icon_question.gif

Also which tire best paired to them? Like i said, its meant for sport ride at least once every week. icon_question.gif

Okay thanks for the fast reply, asked cos wanna claim tax on this

user posted image

Wished to go for the CULT version but cant justify the extra cost of identical item except carbon hub and CULT bearing

Wanted to go for this as my deep aero wheel

user posted image

But my lbs boss told me it only will work if I ride at 35-40km/h which i dont. My avg speed is around 25km/h time to get some leg muscle myself man.

Safely back in KL for short break. Managed to claim tax on my FR1 wheels. Hell i should have put my r500 wheels into the box and declare it as fulcrum FR1 cause the customs officer don even look at it all (just saw the wheel shape and okay sign is given) that all. doh.gif

Now how teh hell i am going to carry back my wheel to australia without raising suspicions of customs officer and charged back 10% tax. rclxub.gif

In my opinion, its better to start some where in middle as in high end alu frame or mid range carbon bike. Cause u could have general feeling of road biking before throwing in more $ on it. I am saying it from newbie road cyclist point of view. It will be diff if the person is experienced road cyclist but did not ride for many moons.

I am happy with my current ride. At least i could learn the basic of riding and hopefully will be able to feel how things works before i move on to more awesome bike.

Speaking of my bike, since i upgrade my wheel, Will i see any diff if i upgrade to carbon crankset like fulcrum crank or fsa carbon crank on my 105 system? Is it worth to do so or save it for the next bike?

Oakley prescription lens in Aussie is super expensive. One lens cost AUD160 and take about 3/4 month to be done as they send to US to produce.

Rudy project Impact RX (The lens itself that its prescriped not rx clip on) lens is around AUD 800++ for a set of lens.

I cant see clearly only on the left eye (-1) but no problem on my right eye. For me I am better off with Rudy project lens with RX clip on, look stupid when on photocromic/clear lens but more wallet friendly.

wait... oakley AUD160

rudy AUD800++ ??

better oakley la like that... rudy super ultra expensive

Added on September 26, 2012, 4:20 pm

rydon itself excluding the clip on is already expensive. about rm800+

Hey are u sure price for Impact RX lense around Rm1000? Same shit in aussie cost approx AUD800++. I once asked a dealer in KL about impact RX lense and she told me its around RM3.2K to do it. Just curious which shop quote you that price? rclxub.gif Since the rydon rx clip bundle is around that price too so i skeptical about it, I would go for impact RX if the price were true. rclxub.gif

I got mine around RM1000 to RM1100 for Rydon in Impact X photocromic lens and RX clip bundle. Got also yellow, clear, racing red lenses for free. Included in the price is spare laser black lens and rudy project stinger helmet at very discounted price/promo item. I think its considered a good deal considering what i got for the amount of $ i paid. Did the RX clip lens in KL for another RM150 smile.gif

That price of Oakley is AUD160 for each lens, one glasses need 2 lens for its around AUD320 depending on the shop. For me i just need one as i only cant see well in one eye. That price is for the basic Iridium black/fire, if u wanna get polarised the price going to creep upwards. Not to mention those shop wanted you to do "compulsory" eye test for for approx another AUD60++ which is unnecessary for me even-though i had the relvelent prescription in my hand doh.gif

er.. USD3.00 shades also can do the job perfectly.
the price i mentions RM1,000 is just Rydon shades with Impact X lense, like the 1 below. no spare lenses.

user posted image

u mentions Impact RX Vs Impact X - are two different thing?

counting the items that u got... it's dam bloody a lot!
*
There are different stuff all together. I try explain as simple as possible.

Impact X - Just a typical curved lens with all the extra feature exclusive to rudy (think u read it on the website edi)

Impact RX - Same as above but the lens set itself its a prescription lens, no RX clip-on shit on this. This make the vision from all angle very clear as opposed to RX clip on which will distort the image when looked at certain angle, u get the drift. Prob is it cost a bomb to do, worse if u want to have multiple diff lens colour. IMO its better off you take the money and get RX clip instead with some spare cash for some new bike parts or belanja on your cycling buddy. wink.gif

It really alot for the stuff i had, pics below less the helmet.

Use contact lens la... much, much cheaper... just make sure U dun use those Kpop colored contacts sold in pasar malam... tongue.gif

I wear prescription specs with the power of about 200 when I was riding, but I never bothered to wear them during training.. the rest of the team was always very nervous when I got to the front of the paceline.. until 1998 when I discovered contact lens, been using that ever since.

I never had the money to buy branded glasses, even when I was with Selangor. So I used pasar malam ones, very similar to the glasses that was all the rage at that time, Briko Shot. Just before Sukma 96 Selangor paid our allowances in advance, so I got myself 2 Brikos, Zen & a casual one. Later on I bought Briko Stinger. I dun think Briko is still in the market though. Now I got Oakley Mframe (used to be known as Mumbo) Livestrong for running..& another Oakley Scalpel Livestrong for casual uses... sold off my Ducati Monsterdog..

Yup contact lens is much cheaper but i cant see myself putting contact into my eye. Its more personal preference, for me i think contact lens is a hassle doh.gif But if it works for u why not smile.gif

Did my first 100 km charity ride (actually around 120 plus km as i ride to starting line and back my home from train station)... Came back with sun burn on the face.

My left knee pain again when i ride, sigh i dunno what i should do. I had tried adjusting the cleat placement by moving fro and back. Thinking to go do proper fit on the pedal when i bring my bike to my lbs for maintainace. Notice both my foot were numb when i ride, any idea why? Maybe perhaps i should change to my sidi carbons now?? (I had bought the shoes but haven used it)

knee pain, maybe wrong position? did u change anything prior to the ride, like saddle height? saddle position?

numb feet, maybe u had the shoes strapped too tight?
*
About foot numb, I had to admit blame that i tighthen the strap too tight.

Knee pain, I did not adjust the saddle height and saddle position. The postion was as it from the day from the day i bought my bike. Its fitted by my lbs. I did adjust the cleat postion only in forward or backward postion and did nothing more than that. A note only my left knee is pain, all is good for my right knee.
